Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Dot, go easy on the wheel barrowing huh? Try not to stuff up anything else... My sales are not until this weekend, so a bit more of a wait for you, sorry there mate. xxxx

Today was the big monthly grocery shop. That was a long pita. The place was full of school kids running amok and it took twice the time that it usually does.

The weather is lovely and warm and almost sunny, until the clouds rolled up. We heard some big claps of thunder and found maybe three drops of rain. Now even the weeds will need to be given a drink.
Dot, your recipe to ward off bugs didn't work on the flaming stink bugs. Anyone got any real ideas of things that should work. Today the bloody things just seem to be multiplying and they sure do not move when a nasty spray is aimed at them.

nighty night xxx

A hand held vacuum and a bucket of soapy water. A fly swat or some sort of scraper to release the bug into the vacuum cleaner. When full, empty the bugs in the soapy water. The soap breaks the surface tension so they can't hold an air bubble around them and they drown.

A hot air gun works as well, but a tad cruel, a gas torch but very cruel ..... They all work, the sticky trap works best though, dump in the soapy water for 1/2 hr, shake the bugs off and let the pad dry and go again ..... or a spray with the "de-solv-it" citrus stuff and the glue lets go, rinse under the tap and back on the tree .....

Dot, a sleepy night after the wheel barrowing? Take it easy there Hope Brian is keeping you warm xxxx

Terry thank you for the interesting suggestions. I need to perhaps be more precise about this precious twenty year old tree. It is approx 4 metres high and six metres across, espaliered to a boundary fence. I would not wish to annihilate the tree with most of your suggestions. The neighbour who owns the house next to it, would be out in a flash, if I started to use any heating implements. Obviously, I am not climbing a ladder to become a sadistic killer and I haven't seen the sticky pad things in the shops that I visit. I am still hopeful of finding a way less toxic solution as I want the tree to survive as well.

Today's visit to gp was as expected. He told me I have a throat and chest infection (that's what I already told him) and he has given me a stack of drugs to fight the infections. That included a fancy inhaler thing to get the chest clear and stronger antibiotics than the instant script bird would give me. I know that they have very strict rules, so not too unhappy about it. I need stronger stuff and certainly for much longer than the five days max that they are allowed to give. Referrals were written and spots frozen on both of our faces, money exchanged hands and we were out of there. The trip to the chemist to collect all the drugs was expensive, but necessary.

Once home, I packed up all the new things that need to go with us tomorrow for the stall and we are all set. As Gosford is an hour away, we will sleep at home. Being last weekend of school hols, caravan parks there are all over $100 per night, so not happening for us. The truck wasn't unpacked after the last show because our daughter was going to sleep in the room that we dump all of the crates. That makes tomorrow easier because the truck is ready to rock n roll, no extra loading needed.

night all xxx

Jeeeze Terry stop trying to teach others how to burn things :P Deborah the guy at the back of us is one of those "no poisons" people and he just hoses the bugs off using the hose on a pretty strong squirt.G rang the Aged Care mob about when my plan will be available? once again the reply being "Should be in December" will wait and see. In the meantime the towel will be rung out and chucked on the floor and then the bare feet will man oeuvre it around the floor. Might go for a drive to Meadows tomorrow and pay a visit to the op shop there plus they have a great cake shop to try. For those heading to the Mountain behave yourselves and for any sickies get better soon ,Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Robert n Bob x :D ..

The thing is with those sprays, you just don't know what the chemicals do to your body too.

Yes, you could end up with something like the serious and long lasting dermatitis that I have had after spraying blackberry bushes.

Shirley, Dylan is improving, he has been moved from emergency, is walking but suffering a lot of pain. They haven't decided whether to operate on the ribs with multiple fractures.
