I believe the plastic cups are made from the same material as the plastic bottles so it can be recycled, so that wasn't banned, but I think the polystyrene cups were banned ....

The wind up here has all gone now. Will have to clean out the gutters now as the flower from the two trees in the front had stuff blowing over the roof all day and there is 10-20 mls. of rain forecast for Saturday. Got the lawns mowed today and started thinning the apple trees. Goodnight all.
Cheers John

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, we only found the last half hour of Monty Python, but it was still worthy of a few laughs. What a whacky set of brains they must all have had, to have come up with that concept and just ran with it. The ending always makes us laugh. How's the rain? xxxx
We found the heat here to be just like they were saying it would be...very hot, but we survived the hottest October day on record...yeah yeah.
We found my favourite Indian Bazaar and I really did go shopping. We couldn't get there last year due to a knee that wasn't happy walking. I really have some pants that are close to worn out and need replacing. Today I happily found and bought 5 pairs of pants that are all very different, with styles and colours all very different. One pair even has mushrooms printed all over them (no, not death caps or funny mushrooms, just happy ones).Like all these sorts of shop, the place was riddled with incense. So the pants have all been washed this afternoon, to remove the aroma and will be ready for me to chop off the bottoms to make them shorter, when we return home to the sewing machine. My last happy pants were bought in Bathurst a couple of years ago. That stall was also too far to walk to last year, but I think I will probably not need to find it this year.
We had a delicious kebab for lunch with dinner not really needing to be much. We each had a piece of raisin bread and an icecream from the freezer.
Don't know what tomorrow will bring, but we will get a long sleep in, in preparation for our weekend of trading.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
After our yard guest left me with sore guts from laughing then tonight the dam Monty Python movie has stirred it all up again Ouch it hurts but worth it
Yes Deborah that lot have the most weirdly brilliant ideas in their heads , thank goodness. Visitors this afternoon, moved from Mannum to Mt Barker and like it ? George and I did a bus wash down this arvo, amazing the amount of spiders that appeared when the hose hit hiding holes. Also noticed some new rust spots creeping through ..........> help We have tried several times to get rid of them but nothing has worked. Have had a windy and wet night so hopefully the place will be ok for a while and no need to water. Had a good laugh from our visitors the male had some type of stroke and when he was discharged a ph call came for him. Apparently the person calling was a speech therapist but she spoke with a ?chinese /asian accent and could NOT be understood so ? how can she teach others how to talk again?? Who are the morons that send inappropriate people to help others?? Still have 3 baby birds and 1 egg, the nest is in a sheltered shrub so hopefully this crappy weather won't get to them. Getting any bowls practice in lately Shirley?Time for a shower then bed so Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Well the plan was good.
Just the execution fell somewhat short.
We’ve been running around like headless chickens for the past week, trying to get the Towed Hall ship-shaped and ready for an Interstate Excursion.
It was stripped bare about 18 months ago when we expected to sell it. ONE very insulting offer in 12 months!
We wanted to SELL it, not give it away.
The upshot is that, given the withdrawal of all of my treatment, we will do what we decided 30 years ago with GIRT: do as much sightseeing as possible while I’m still able to do so.
One change: SWMBO will do all the driving.
I have, in the past, joked that I speak fluent Motorhome and can get by speaking Caravan.
That was before I tried towing a decent sized van.
Shoulda held out for another m/h, albeit smaller than GIRT.
We’re now stuck with a van I absolutely refuse to tow. SWMBO surprised me by insisting she will do ALL the driving.
(I was hoping she would decide to sell at a loss and return to motorhoming.)
Anyway, here we are. Headless chooking about and halfway to Loxton.
The original plan was to overnight at Tooleybuc, but only got to Moulamein due to some ‘technical issues’.
Me being at less than peak mental acuity due to the regular ingestion of heavy duty painkillers, I forgot to fill the water tanks; failed to ensure the house fridge was cleared of perishables; and didn’t check the diesel heater’s fuel tank for possible leaks — the clue being that it self-drained while standing for 18 months. The source of the leak was clearly revealed when I tried filling it at the service station this morning.
All attempts to jury-rig a solution failed, and added an hour to our planned departure time. Let’s hope someone in Loxton can help.
Meanwhile, despite sitting in the passenger seat for several hours, I’m just as pooped as SWMBO!
So it’s goodnight from me,
… and it’s goodnight from him.

Hi. We can have a look at the heater when you get here and of course you can plug into power here and we have a small electric heater to keep your toes warm. Lovely night here tonight but some rain forecast for Saturday. Happy traveling, Cheers John

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I did one caravan 3 day weekend holiday, and that was enough for me. The amount of work getting loaded level and hooked up, then towing the thing that felt like dragging a parachute and fighting to stay facing forward every time a semi went past, then having to unhook it and level it, unpack everything out of the caravan and car for the 3 days, then the reverse process but in heavy traffic, I needed another holiday to get over it.
Camper trailers, then Kombis, and increasing sized motorhomes since ..... Being able to simply pull up somewhere and climb into bed, not messing around, pure luxury

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
I awoke at noon, so much for the day shopping but G did most of the stuff on the list locally and we will do the rest tomorrow on way home from Birdwood after my GP appointment. The bus is 99% all packed up and all checks done. Our neighbour is going to feed / water the birds and of course Brian will be us. 3 loads of washing done. Another night of belly laughing watching"The life of Brian" I can't take much more of this laughing though. Take the travelling nice and slow Ray you now can be the passenger and look at the passing scenery, amazing what you see that way. . Was a nicer day today hope the weather holds. Take care if on the roads. NC George don't you do any cooking? Goodnight everyone

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Hey Dot, I was out of bed before you today, but not by much! Sounds like the escape plan is coming along well...happy escaping xxxx
After a luxurious sleep in, we did an op shop run. I discovered some heavy metal wire shelves for the van. As I set up the things onto our older shelves, I thought they were looking a bit fragile. It was good timing and a fiver well spent. The other purchase was a heavy ceramic platter, that will make a great mold in my shed. Always looking for slightly different shapes to make with glass. This will keep me busy again...first job...sell some platters from the already built stack.
Had a pub lunch followed by an arvy nap, very civilised.
Tomorrow will have to be out of bed early so that we can visit his brother and SIL, who live close by, and then back to the club to set up our stall. Looks like our late sleeps are over for a while.

Morning Dot message sent but if you can get here I have a new diesel heater tank for Ray if he wants it.
Territory decided to throw a motor warning yesterday so have to have it in this morning to check out. The the sound man is delieverying the new sub woofer and setting up.
In the afternoon my solar bloke is looking to quote for batteries and new panels. So another busy day.
Yesterdays CT scan went well a looking forward to the meeting next Friday to discuss the valve operation. Cheers Robert
