Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Good morning All, 20* with forecast of 21* max
Yesterday was stinking hot, still 38* at 8pm. :x The aircon and solar managed to retain 23* inside.
I received an email from Julie at 5:40am this morning advising that she had arrived in Brighton UK to assist Leonie and Dylan for three weeks so, I now need to do some grocery shopping to top up my frozen meal supply.

Agree the new BOM site is bad, looks a clone of Willy Weather.

Wind not bad last night and no rain that I heard. Should be good today.

12 noon appointment for a contrast CT scan to check out my arteries and heart for my valve replacement assessment next Friday.

Bruce how is your solar planning going? Have my bloke in tomorrow afternoon to look at a upgrade.

Take care in this crazy weather and good morning Dot

Cheers Robert

Good morning everyone. We made it to 33⁰ yesty, then the wind blew in. Got down to 22⁰ pretty quick. Supposed to be another hot one today.
Spent half of the day locating some bits for the tv antenna on the Winny. Turns out our aerial is an Anntennatek not a Winegard. Some, but not all parts are interchangeable.
Dunno what I'm up to today yet. Terrie's still sleeping.🤣
Have a top day everybody. Safe travels all those out and about.
Cheers

Carol spent a lot of the time in the spar 😄. our temp gauge is in the patio...was a lot hotter in the sun 🌞
Carol has lost some of newly planted flowers...
The only other thing I got up to was drive to Biggenden to pay the rego for the Ute at the post office..😡😡.
I think today I will be doing nothing of importance 😁
Keep safe.

native pepper wrote: Tue Oct 21, 2025 5:24 pm Had a huge storm last night, winds over 120kph and today, a yacht about 10m long was washed up on the shore. Turns out it's a S/S yacht and the bloke didn't have a clue how to get it off the beach, the keel had dug into the sand but it was moving in the small waves, so only the beach side of the keel was trapped and the waves were keeping the sand from engulfing the keel completely. He said he was going to get a tug from Hobart to tow it off, but I suggested he get in his dinghy, put the anchor in and take it out as far as he could, them put strain on the anchor so his boat doesn't wash further onto the sand and when the tide come in wind the anchor winch in so it pulls the bow round into the waves and then he can winch it off the beach as the tide rises using the motor and anchor. High tide today is about 1m, so he would have a chance of it working

Be interesting to see if he got it off tomorrow.
How was the re-floating NP
Don't know Bernie, haven't been to the beach since, had non stop rain until last night and today heading for Hobart to get some probiotics for my dog Dax. He was given antibiotics for a nose infection he picked up with all his sniffing and reacted badly to it, now he can't eat and has lost heaps of weight so have been force feeding him.

Vets are useless don't seem to have a clue and just want to prescribe more useless drugs, so did my own research and discovered the antibiotic causes anorexia by destroying his gut and can have bad psychological effects on him, other than that he's in great condition but have to force his mouth open to get some food into him. It's only soupy food he can take as he throws up solids and was very miserable, friend gave him some CBD pet oil which he was giving his dog who had cancer and that made a great difference to his pain levels. He's much more relaxed and comfortable, but weakened from lack of food and Bindi is extremely worried about him, she lies close to him and watches his every move.

I ordered some pet CBD oil and it arrived yesterday, so he won't have to suffer whilst try to alleviate the problems caused by the drugs. Amazing 3 drops of CBD oil and his condition charges within an hour and it doesn't get him stoned, so he's relaxed and seems pain free to the point where he now goes outside and lies in the sun and interacts with my neighbours dogs even barking at them when they are playing round him.

Read giving him probiotics should help his gut problem and allow him to eat solids, will try that and hope it turns things around otherwise he will die from lack of food, or have to pit him down and hate doing that it's so traumatic and sad.

NP, I hope you can find the right balance with the Probiotics, and get Dax back to full health soon. But don't overdo the dosage. He will need something in his belly to help them work.
Cheers

Gee don't tell the vets you are using CBD. Every time I tell my specialist etc they all shudder and warn me of the evil side effects of the oil, but they  can't understand why I am still alive and able to function when I was rat shit on their drugs. I just laugh and tell them I am happy with where I am. My doctor refuses to let me use their drugs as he has seen me with their drugs and with the oil.

Good morning everyone. Its sill a bit windy here, might get to 28⁰ and no sign of any rain. I'm hoping that we can get some rain before our next adventure, otherwise all the grass will die again.
Achieved bugger all yesty, apart from a big walk up around the conservation park.
Got a bit of shed work to finish this weekend.
Safe travels everybody. I hope all the sickies are on the improve.
Happy birthday Carol, I hope you have a top day.
Cheers

Good morning 12c, beautiful maximum 24c predicted light winds :D calm lake.

Sending very Best Wishes to Carol for a Happy Birthday, enjoy the visit from your daughter.

The clover appears to be dying off, think the hotter weather the day it was sprayed has helped, hopefully it will keep the ducks off our property they love eating it although they’ll probably still come to drink from the water troughs that I have for the birds.
