Re: Good morning daily
Hi David. So sorry to hear about your Winny. Sounds bad enough as it is but if you had been out for a while when it happened it would have been a sad sight when arriving back. Hope it can be repaired successfully. Cheers John

Morning all.
Cold and wet. Rained most of last night. Played half a golf game yesterday. Called off due to rain and lightening.
Dave, as per the phone call, that's no good. Hopefully, insurance will sort it all.

Wow! talk about creating your own entertainment!
David was the fridge on? Running on gas or electricity?
Something none of us want to happen!

Re: Good morning daily
Sorry to hear your problem Dave, I had intended to call you yesterday evening to ask if you had suffered the hailstorm, just as well I didn't.
23* and 26* forecast here. I will have to put up with the warmth/heat while I endeavour to fix the bad workmanship of the fibreglass repairer. At least I will feel like I'm getting paid to do it as I knocked $300 off his bill after sending him photos of what I considered unsatisfactory.
I speak to Julie each evening on zoom and she has advised that Dylan's pain is improving gradually and due to internet access with work she will not use up all her sick pay.
I washed my car yesterday and due to my osteo arthritis I was aching like hell by the time I finished. I had planned to clean Julie's car as well but that is going to wait. Due to the amount of pain I think I may need to make an appointment with my GP. Even when I go for a short walk down the avenue my shoulders begin to ache.

"tanks" here---
Is this the luck of the Irish, or just part of motorhoming?
Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but good that you were able to have the situation under control.

I'm now 87 years old, having experienced another birthday, and I'm still living in WA, single (gave up looking), white hair, no teeth, no money, no worries.
I plan to have another birthday next year.

Re: Good morning daily
Not good at all Dave, glad both you and Terrie escaped unharmed physically, the mental stress won't hit for a while. No doubt the self blame is or will kick in that you hadn't replaced the fridge when you first intended to ..... but that's just hind sight trying to add to the kicking these things bring with them.
Been there, still doing that ..... Hope they either pay you out properly or the Winnie can be properly repaired, once the inner wall insulation starts to burn, tracing how far it went is the really hard part.
Is the body on your Winnie fibreglass over ply like this one is?

Re: Good morning daily
Good afternoon,
David good it happened while parked up at home, would of been more stressful if you’d been travelling especially if it happened at night, pleased you & Terrie checked out ok, guess it’s time for an electric fridge.

Re: Good morning daily
Shirley, you are absolutely spot on. Whatever the result, the 3 way are dead to me now. If it had happened overnight somewhere, the Winny would be a block of charcoal.
Terry, hindsight is a bitch. Unfortunately I know you know. It will be impossible to tell how bad the internal wall structure is til the fridge is removed.
Tanks, there are heaps of primary school age kids in our street. I reckon we'll be show and tell til Christmas.
And I never got to watch a second of that Supercar race.
I've done 6 loads of washing already. Very windy and hot here. A good day for washing clothes and bed linen.
