Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Then off to get one of those little white filters out of my right ear, they won't stay in the hearing aid for some reason ....
Then off to see the contact at Kookaburra Homes regarding the Mannum house build, to ask the hard questions ......
Then maybe a trip to Bunnings .... we'll be there after all  Looking at making a wavy wand black water tank flusher using a small flexible hose cross drilled at the end and then pinched off. Fit this into a screw in fitting that matches one of the moulded threaded holes at the top of the tank, add a tap and a 12mm garden hose fitting.

The plan is to drain the black tank (without fertilising the concrete slab yet again) then leaving the drain to the macerator open and turning the hose on to the whippy washer .... and see if the results were worth the effort

A most successful trip today. Got the ears vacuumed out and the filters that had ended up in the eras removed, the hearing aids cleaned inside and new retaining rings fitted to keep the filters in place and a bit of a tune up to improve speech recognition in a noisy environment .....
Got the bits from Bunnings, plus a wrong 90* male female plastic fitting that turned out to do the job far easier (more about that in the Winnie thread)

Had a talk with Dylan at Kookaburra homes and it was 2 yrs from when we paid the $5,000 deposit ..... so that eased things regarding the panicked buying another house thing.

Bone scan showed I wasn't about to shatter walking down the steps out of the motorhome type vehicle that the bone scan bus is set up in .....

So, home for a sleep, very exhausting day

But they don't know to put pineapple on the pizza .... clearly they are copying someone else's idea on how to make pizza ...... but a calzone made by an Italian master is something to remember and used as a benchmark to judge all other attempts

Bernie, I love pizza and spaghetti. And Italian beer isn't bad either.

Cheers

Good morning.
Another shopping day done and dusted... bank down accordingly .. it's just money 😁🍿..
When we left Maryborough it started raining and got heavier the more we got towards home...then stopped apparently it was fine back here in elsewhere 😩
But... around 3.30 pm...it started raining and dropped one inch... only lasted about 40 minutes or so...
First up this morning is to sort and pack the fridge with all the new goodies 😁
Depending on the weather I may get back to the car trailer...
I have tasted both and still won't eat either 😋😋
Our daughter is planning to go to Italy next year I think..
Keep safe.

Morning all.

Maybe a second opinion is needed. ;)

Mower is finally working as it should....

Piston was badly scored. I gave it a sand, and new rings. Didn't really work. Ordered a new piston and rings.

Then the ring was to big and wouldn't compress down. Broke it, so had to use one of the earlier ones.

Then, the carby diaphragm thingy wouldn't seat properly and revved its head off. This probably was the original problem and Lucas didn't realise when he tried mowing while i was away. Got that sorted.

The blades were shot, so replaced them.

After mowing a bit, the chassis broke where it held the rear axle broke causing the chassis and blades to drag. Fixed that with a special bracket.

All good now and starts and cuts like a new Victa. I was about one fault away from buying a new mower.

Bernie, the yacht got of the beach that nights high tide. According to a woman living opposite where it was stranded, the bloke took my advise and put the anchor out offshore, winding it in as the tide came in which lifted the yacht and turned it to the sea. When it started to move he was able to winch it off until he could start the motor and move it off shore. I noticed it was on it's mooring about 3klm from it's stranding when we went to the beach yesterday, so good outcome for him.

The CBD oil has amazed me how quickly it works and how comfortable it's made Dax and his biological condition has improved greatly. However he has developed a psychological aspect of a victim mentality, whining and complaining to get attention because he's been getting lots of attention and sympathy when he was in pain from the antibiotic poisoning.

Now he's using it to get attention when he wants it, so have changed tactics after watching him on the beach and outside when he thinks no one is watching. No whining at all, just gets on with life. Last night every time he started whining told him to shut up and go to bed, it became a battle and wasn't sure if was doing the right thing, but unlike previous nights when got up 3-4 times to his whining, didn't get up just yelled at him to shut up and it worked.

This morning not a murmur after I put him outside every time he moaned until he came in and was quiet. Heading shopping today and will get a small funnel and some plastic tubing, going to pour liquidised food into it and into his mouth, which hopefully will get some condition back onto him and he recovers from the effects of the antibiotic poisoning. Still giving him CBD twice a day as it seems to have a real beneficial effect on his condition, just have to overcome the psychological problem and as he's a kelpie, that will be a battle as they are extremely smart and conniving. But hopefully it will be worth the effort as he's a wonderful dog.

Our weather is bizarre, snowed on the mountain behind us a few days ago when the temperature went from 18 to 2 in about 5 minutes and we got sleet and very strong winds. Got down to -2 overnight and next morning was 6, but by lunch time had moved to 16 and the wind was so strong it blew off most of the fruit buds on the trees, so this year may have little fruit.

Enjoy life in the fast lane, I'm about to tackle the growing touro invasion on the roads today and check the surf up the coast, although the water temp is still around 12, so bit cool for me at the moment. But a good wave just may entice me into getting cold

Good morning all, Dave have a great time away amongst the hairy armpits. On the trek towards home, gunna pop in to the Karoonda op shop for a peep if they are open. The weather has been fantastic.
