Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Another exciting day yesterday NOT.. The dentist I have been told to go to from the female dog from the Adelaide clinic gave me an appointment for today BUT they rang and said the man was sick but would put me on the cancellation list and again a $70 fee hmmmm Yesterday I had appointment with Dr to have the lumpy thing under my arm cut out, felt no pain until the local wore foo and oh boy am I paying for that now. So painful just moving the arm get results when they come in and stitches out in 1 week. Right now we are trying to make sense of the home care thing and who can do what. Getting cold now the fire might even get lit for a while but I can see me heading off the bed to hopefully watch the Edinburgh Tattoo. It's not as good as it used to be but I love the bagpipes. Hope all the sickies are doing better and the ones on the roads are being careful. Goodnight everyone x
Goodnight Robert n Bob x
P.S. I couldn't get on line last night so G took the battery out and bingo put it back in this arvo and all go again ??????

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Dot, hope that lump proves to be nothing serious and the ache will become very dull and quiet soon. Some decent home help would be really helpful. xxxx
Last night's post disappeared into the ether,
We are happily in Bathurst with super chilled nights (last night was 1 degree). The trip was uneventful and we have been settled into a great site close to the event.
Shirley, you are so right about the much disliked Eaton, but he is keeping very quiet about it. So yes, his fingers are definitely involved . Would love to know where the fat brown bag went. Local members have no chance of working out what is happening with secretive council things.
Today was an op shop day, lunch in some rsl club and then back to the van to relax.
Tomorrow is the day that we set up the stall. We can set up from 9am, but we will have a bit of a sleep in before that. We are reliant on a hire company to deliver our tables, so his nibs will check out the deliverers during the morning so we can get a start on with the setting up.

Evening Dot, Hope that armpit is getting better every day. Thanks for the wishes for profits, they worked.

Welcome back Terrie and David and also Julie.
Friday, we set up the stall, after the tables were delivered at 1pm. So didn't get a good start on the job and the pavilion was so humid and sweaty, we were exhausted by the time we got it all set up. The sad one was the latest splat, met with the cement floor, with a huge crash...totally an accident. His nibs them cleaned up the tiny scraps of glass ( I missed getting a pic of the finished piece), put them in a plastic bag. I thought no more of it, until later at the van. I told him how that piece just never really jelled with me, but the scraps will make a stunning drip through melty thing. His face went white, he had dropped the bag in the nearest bin. He was so upset at having broken it, he just didn't want to see it again. After we got back to the stall this morning, he disappeared and came back with said plastic bag of pink and purple shards. Another challenge for home.
Today was a very profitable one. I had made a few Christmas tree decorations, that have sat, doing nothing on the stall for the last three years at Christmas events. Today I sold a dozen of them to two different customers. Can never really tell what is going to be the big sale of the day! Mostly it was earrings, but all that matters is that we are already in profit, so tomorrow will be a good day too with no pressure to get to the profit level.
Another ridiculously early start tomorrow, so need a sleep soon. I had a huge arvy nap today, so will have to read a bit just to get back to sleep tonight.

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Evening all, A day of more trimming shrubs and spent flowers removed. Had a look in the birds nest and there is now 4 new eggs but I think one of them is a left over from the last lot. Not as much pain today but I know it if I move the wrong way. I hear that the travelers are back home so welcome home David and Terrie bet you are really tired. All my hoya's are getting ready to flower so looking forward to that.Did a lot of watering as well, amazing how dry the soil is only a few inches down. Jd I don't think it was a Lymph gland that was taken out well I hope not anyway, I reckon it may of been a cyst, know next week. Deborah , see I am a good luck charm well done on today's sales and even better tomorrow. What a shame about the latest piece of art and no pics either
Tanks is a happy chappie because Mrs Brown is back tomorrow night
Now I know why the "lawn" is looking terrible and patchy, finally a confession from HWKB decided to spray the weeds BUT he just sprayed away willy nilly. I was saying the lawn must of had lawn beetle until I saw the guilt all over his face, now we have to wait and see IF the grass grows back. Hope all the sickies are improving. Goodnight everyone x

Re: Nightly Goodnight Everyone
Margaret did that with a potent brew of Round Up .... and the trigger tap wasn't shutting off either .... it looked like a area marked out for a mini golf course when the grass died leaving just the sand under it, and a tracer link to know which sand trap was next in the seriesDot wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 12:05 am Evening all, A day of more trimming shrubs and spent flowers removed. The house fire and diesel running across the lawn and catching fire as things heated up, really made a mess of the lawn, but my careful "doing nothing" to it has paid off, it seems to be recovering after 16 mths
