Good morning daily

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Did you try a heatgun or hair dryer?
Sometimes it'll loosen it slightly to get a fish filleting knife under it.

Success... it's of... just the fabric thingy ... only took profanities to move it 🤔...nar I lie... not about the swearing 😁... that bit's true... didn't need the hair dryer Bruce...I don't have enough..I started from the wrong end of cause... normal... but the platform I used was at the front...I could grab the fabric and move it... just..
And I moved the platform along as I went.. till near the end... and for the last yard or so it wouldn't move...cranky time 😕..so I was going along slowly trying to find why it wouldn't move...🤬 I found a screw under the material 🤬
Why one was put there is anyone's guess...so it had three screws...I'm hoping I don't have to remove the track.??

Bernie you can buy the stuff to sew on the top that has the two sizes.
Might be easier to get that sewing machine out then to remove the track. Hope you have plenty of roof'n'gutter?

The screw holds the material in place. It has to be exactly square to the roller. If not, the material cork screws up when it rolls as it closes.

Morning Dave and Terrie, welcome home.
Bernie, the gap in the sail track is much bigger than the gap in the sail track that comes with the new awning .... it won't stay on that track, just like it wouldn't stay in the track on the Winne, and a threaded heavy rope through the new awning material, not the small diameter core stuff they supply ..... the awning was coming out as I was feeding it in using the supplied stuff.

Your sail track looks much easier to remove than the stuff on the Winnie .... I'll have to mount the replacement sail track under the existing one .....

 I want to buy more of those Aldi scaffolds you have there, a platform on the top rung and a second where you have your platform mounted, and they become very stable, I made ladders out of the extra end pieces .... I wonder if Aldi will ever have them on "special buys" again

Wait till you get to see what size the top is but this is just the tape that can be sewn on a tarp that suits both main sizes. I think 5 &7mm?
