Nightly Goodnight Everyone

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

A tiring day again so I am off to the shower then bed e buys. All good in the house of Beau. I finally got my birthday present from my M8 in NZ , it's a beautiful wall hanging of lovely elephants about 3ft x 2ft. I spent over 2 hrs shuffling around the green shed while G was having his ECG and more blood tests. The plants kept crying out to me so I gave in and got about 5 plants 2 lots of seedlings a bag of Orchid mix (for my Hoyas) and a big bag of that black magic ?? potting mix for the inside plants plus a bottle of "Yates selective herbicide" for the murder of the lawn weeds only so shall see how that does. Feed and feed didn't touch the weeds. Had my stitches out and Dr is happy with the results. So it's a goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight 2ft 6''. x :D

Dot, your day sounds too tiring. At least at the hammer shop, you can find garden furniture in the garden section that you might have to test for a while. Don't rush in to do all the potting things at once, take it slowly and wear a bloody mask when playing with any potting mixes or mulchy things. Did I hear you say "yes Mum?" Sorry for sounding that way, I have just finished an article about a guy dying from air born disease that he got from potting mix (legionella I think). Take it easy xxxx

Our visit with skin specialist was very long. She was running late and it was super stormy outside. I had another lump frozen off my nose and she had found all three of the lumps on my back are starting to change. They will get removed before Christmas. Not looking forward to that. His lordship has a few spots that were frozen on his face and then he too will be getting bits lopped off his face before Christmas. Don't think we will be very pretty this year.

As we came closer to home, we stopped at the Chinese takeaway at the Woolies shops and bought some bowls of combination short soup. That was a yummo dinner and no washing up even. We are too far away from the shops to get Chinese takeaway,( or any other kinds of takeaways really) so it was a bit of a treat tonight.

Good night all, big day painting containers tomorrow and if there is any time left, more reshaping the plastic shrouds for these 4 thermo-fans so they fit the Winnie radiator neatly, then sand the two remaining LPG tank straps so they can be painted ready to fit the tanks ..... booked in for Tuesday week in Balranald for rego the inspection ......

The aluminium 45mm hose joiner I'm waiting for should be here on the 25th ..... then I can finish assembling the front of the Winnie again .....

How is everyone doing today? Deborah I took your advice about the mask and glove wearing with potting mix but I just got them out and will do them tomorrow. I put the newbie plants into a seaweed mix for the night. That so called "good quality" last lot of potting mix has lasted only a couple of mths and it dries out so fast . I got the black marvel stuff this time.G's GP rang today to say his CT scan showed something in his gullet but nothing nasty so will find out more when he sees the gas man bloods showed his cholesterol is up a bit but I can't get through to him that all the crap he eats is not good for him but his choice. I had physio with the nice man and I reckon he is making things a bit easier for me. Found out from the receptionist that a certain building had been raided and closed??? "What was it I asked" and she said "a happy ending place" Little ol Strath had one of those places, well I never. Out of bed early Prof1 if you intend to do all of that work. Off to bed now so Goodnight everyone x :D Goodnight Riverlander x

Dot, no doubt overtired from all of your gallivanting. Good to see you took my potting mix advice, you don't need any more health issues (none of us do). Like the sound of the physio . Rest easy mate. xxxx

Terry it's good that you have the date for your inspection, it gives you the incentive to get the jobs done. Hope you manage to do that as well as your painting/camouflaging of those containers.

Today was planned to be exciting? We went to the bank and sorted out a bank cheque to pay for said caravan. That's all sorted, so onto the big grocery shop. WW was so full of trolleys and people filling shelves, it was a nightmare. As we tend to go late morning and into lunchtime, it's usually fairly quiet, but today it was mayhem. Several trolley mishaps were luckily avoided, but it was close.

Once the shopping was put away and we had a late lunch, his nibs declared that he wanted to tackle the front boot on the van. This was a mammoth task, so I stayed indoors for my sanity, and did some house things, followed by a nanny nap. Caravan job is nearly done and it had better be finished soon because we are leaving home on Monday to be ready for a Wednesday swap over. In our earlier travels, we would have gone straight to Coffs in a day, but that's not happening anymore. We will have a stopover somewhere on the way up and be in Coffs Tuesday afternoon.

Night all xxx

Dot, and anyone else using potting mixes, Deborah is correct. Make sure you wear gloves and a mask with that stuff. Most of the generic stuff is just sawdust and biosolids. Can be 'not very nice' sometimes.

Wow we are having a great and close thunder and lightning and heavy rain, The rain is needed but the sound of that thunder is a bit spooky. Did nothing today, G loaded up the trailer with branches ready for the tip tomorrow and also to sniff out any wood hanging about. Get well all the sickies and take care on the pot holed roads all over the country.Goodnight everyone x :D Good night Flexitdriver x :D

Dot, you got the storm that we were meant to get. Hope you had no serious events/issues with it. How does Brian handle storms? xxxx

We have finally finished all the clearing out of the old caravan. After all the drawers got washed out and dried, put a few essentials (like the kettle) back into just one cupboard, with them squished in a bit so that they don't/can't roll around in transit. Tomorrow, we will put only the most essential of clothes and things to cover the trip up to Coffs and back home again.

Our house looks like a Chinese laundry (hope that's allowed) with boxes and bags of stuff all round the edges of the lounge room and the guest room. Once we get the van, I expect we will be rushing home to start putting so much back into the "new" van and to find the house again. Maybe some of the stuff will go to the bin, along with the stack of junk already tossed.

Been a bit hectic here, but soon it will be back to whatever normal is.

nighty night xxx

The days rain and then the big Thunder and lightening show, combined with the rain drop size that sounded like hailstones, it seems they abandoned the Sounds by the River concert ...... the ticket conditions say rain hail or shine, but the powers that be must have deemed it unsafe .... maybe they will restage it sometime next yr, maybe a ticket refund .... who knows ..... at the price of $300 ticket as the word on the street, I guess they will have to do something because only the first band played for maybe half their allotted time, so the concert didn't actually happen ...... :?
