Morning All.
Still cold here. Winter doonas are the go.
Taking Mr P to the vet again. He's starting to loose weight. You can see his spine poking out around lower back.
Where's Terry?
Good morning daily

Re: Good morning daily
Good morning All. A beautiful 23* here at the moment but 30* forecast.
Due to the heat I have achieved very little and that which I planned to do was put on hold due to a rivet becoming stuck in the rivet gun and I haven't been able to remove it no matter what.
I hope everyone is enjoying planning for Christmas.
I forgot. Where's Terry?

Re: Good morning daily
It has been an "interesting" few days. Arrived on time for the rego ..... only to find the bloke who can do the heavy vehicle and LPG inspections, has gone out on a job to Griffith ...... but he is expected back around lunch time .... ok, we'll go into town to kill some time .... return 2:30pm, still not back yet .... time for a nap .... 4 pm he gets back, let the receptionist know to ring us as soon as it's ready to pick up ..... bugger off back into town ..... 5:30 rolls around, give them a ring, answering service, drive up there,
Winnie is locked up behind the gate .... uggg..... tried everywhere in town to get a room or caravan park cabin .... no go .... it is actually 6:30pm NSW time by now .....
Tried places out of town, can't have any animals in the rooms
Ended up driving all the way to Echua, 250kms, to a friend's place to sleep the night ...
Rang the rego place this morning, it didn't pass and the receptionist left at 4:30 yesterday and tell the boss to ring us
Get back there at 1:30pm, the boss is out on a towing job, head back there at 3:30, still not back .... FFS, pay for the inspection, attempt to reverse out of their yard, nailed the gate posts ..... head down to the registry to get an unregistered vehicle permit to return to Mannum, they closed a few mins before I got there .....
So, we are now parked up in the Balranald caravan park, hopefully, we will be able to get the permit when they open in the morning ..... and spend Christmas Eve driving 500kms back to Mannum .....
Failed for a supposed LPG leak, but he couldn't tell me where, faded and cracked indicator and clearance light lenses, and worn king pins .... which is B/S, I checked them before we left Mannum and they wouldn't have flogged out in 500kms between Mannum and Balranald .....
The real pain is going to be getting them, it is a US Ford F53 motorhome chassis .... I'm guessing the parts will be just like the water pump, 2 1/2 mths from the US .... via every US Airport till it actually leaves the USA .... have to justify the ridiculous freight charges somehow .... no, not interested in being conned by another US freight forwarding company, the last one got me for $1800, so they can go to hell as far as I'm concerned ....

That's no good Terry.
Maybe this might help.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/375617992064
$370 US inc international postage
or

similar price, different year.

Re: Good morning daily
There are some of the Moog king pin kits for a Ford F53 supposedly being held by Aust sellers on EBay. Around $450 with postage Inc.
Early January delivery.
Terry, why don't you bite the bullet and register your Winny in a state that doesn't require an annual inspection? Might save the grief of finding a LPG roadworthy every year.

Re: Good morning daily
I think they are the earlier bushing top and bottom type, but I really won't know till I pull one side apart .... and that will have to wait for the return to Mannum ..... I'm considering if I should put the dome up first, so at least I have some shade ..... but that is inviting a return visit from the council ..... I guess it has to be faced sometime ....
If I do it over Christmas/New Yr, it will at least give me that much peace before I have them rattling at the gate
It certainly puts the travel plans on hold for a while ......

Yes, it probably would. Why poke the bear?I'm considering if I should put the dome up first, so at least I have some shade ..... but that is inviting a return visit from the council ..... I guess it has to be faced sometime ....
Just focus on the Winnie. It's your shelter and home right now. Having it mobile means you can travel.
Also, check the insurance policy. In some policies, an unroadworthy, unregistered vehicle can void the insurance.
