I've been wondering about this for a while now..
. Some really good ideas take a while to formulate into something special. Unique and exquisite - some might say.

But given all the little adventures the Winnie has to offer.... some of which becoming more challenging than scaling Everest wearing a onesey... how about... I think this is possibly one of the greatest idea and opportunity that could present itself.

Similar to other great moments in history where people just pause. That quiet moment in time where one looks into the vagueness of time and asks why didn't they think of that?

This is one of those moments.

Terry, Why not retrofit Rustic onto the Winnie?

Think about it. It's brilliant.

Just lift of the old tired Winnie body, just a couple of bolts and hoist it off under the dome. The same with Rustic and drop it on the the Ford chassis. Solid Smithfield steel. Brilliant, I say.

Now before going nuts... think about it how good it would be. Like, I'm an optimist. One has to be in moments like this.

I.. you might say, I try to...

Always look on the bright side of life.

So much so, I even have combined the two to make a name. Rustic and Winnie.

Wustic....

So, stand back, Terry. Listen to murmur. Say it quietly, "Wustic".

I say, to you Terry, Welease Wustic.

Umm..... they are two different lengths, getting the body part right was what brought rustic to a standstill, just a couple of the top of my head, but you keep at it Jon, I'm sure you have a great idea in there somewhere ..... you just haven't found it yet

As we left the driveway and headed up the hill from the workshop yard, the MG rolled up 49.5*C and it only cooled to 46* on the outskirts of Murray Bridge ..... so, not a lot of work happened outside. The lock on the gate was too hot to hold to lock as we left, had to hold it in the T shirt, it was just as bad when we returned at 4pm ......

Decided the better idea was to make the frame out of steel hollow square section, I can flux core mig wire weld that no problems  That will have to wait a few days, trip to Adelaide with Margaret tomorrow, when it will be even hotter they predict, then back to doctor Wed for shingles and pneumonia shots, and a care plan because apparently, I have Osteopenia in my spin and need to fend off it developing into Osteoporosis in a few yrs if left unchecked ..... not unexpected really, all a follow on from the MVA and arthritis in my back as a result of that.

The X rays, MRIs and nerve burning care plan is a few days later I believe, and burning off the skin tabs and other assorted extras under the right armpit .... really looking forward to that

You're starting to sound like you, Ray & Dot are in a competition?
Hesitant to ask but has anyone heard of Ray lately?
