The half round isn't cheese then :? are they heating units behind that half round thing?

There were two of them, I took one out for the photo. They are ceramic weights, put the salted shredded cabbage in, over with brine, place cabbage leaves to cover and put the weights on top to keep it all submerged. Goes bad is not covered all the time. Hope you understood that.

No heating the cooler the better Will take a photo tomorrow of the two weights for you cheers.
