We bought a12v Kogan to replace the Teac analogue that came with the van second hand. It is ok but does not have a headphone out jack so we are stuck with their speakers. So far it has not been a problem and we don't watch a lot of tv. But something to be aware of if purchasing new.

You can still use an old tv as long as you use a top box or something like that :? I would get the tv that is digital ready.

With Erich's new found electrical skills, simply remove the wires from the speaker and solder them onto a headphone jack, or you could just run extention wires from the speakers to the headphone jack so then all the speakers would work.

Now there's an idea Terry. I have passed it on but as I am the only one interested in TV (and then not very often), I'm not sure this will get off the ground.

Lesley are you positive there's not a headphone jack hidden on the side or bottom?
I've got a Conia & it's pretty much the same with a different name & it has got one.

Definitely Bruce. Been through the whole scenario. Kogan don't have headphone jacks for the 22" or 24", not sure about other sizes. However, I just read Terry's reply to Erich and he said he told me (duh!) that he has a solution using USB powered speakers connected to av out left and right. I guess I glazed over about the time the Lithiums went in and didn't register the interesting stuff. :P

That was another method, or a converter cable from the left and right audio RCA jacks to a female headphone jack...... how are the eyes going now, completely rolled back
