A wind up inverter, a natural progression from the wind up torch I guess, I wonder if they'll catch on. Best take a patent Pending out on it now Ray, before someone steals your idea

No silly boy he's the man that is writing the recipes for Curry smells that will not die. And where abouts is Zoo4um as your location?
Back to the OT now.. Ray keep your old Inverter... might just be something simple the "experts" miss and if you do find the answer you can flog it yourself and not the ones that supposedly throw them away.

Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.

We went to the show today, makes it a big day when you travel from Toowoomba. We checked out all the sat tv setup's . You were also looking at sat tv, did you find any that ticked all of your requirements.Greynomad wrote: Then we went to the Bris C&C Show ?

Re: Inverter problem now...
THE PLAN:
Step 1: Buy new flat-screen 12v Kogan TV/DVD/PVR to replace the CRT analogue TV up front. Remove superfluous (and 240v inverter-sucking) Digital STB. Cabinetmaker to replace CRT with timber door to match the two either side (American Oak). Continue to receive terrestrial TV as & when available. Otherwise, watch DVDs (as we do now). News via radio where TV unavailable.
Affordable now.
Step 2: Replace Winegard aerial with dish & install 12v VAST satellite receiver. TV anywhere, anytime.
Not currently affordable. Review in 12 months...
Getting back to my OP:
Wednesday should tell us if we're up for <$200 or mega-$$$.
I'll keep you all posted...
