Gas Heater

Post by Ros20549 »

Hi... Well after a lot of research & dollars etc. we decided to have a Gas heater installed in the van. So we were a little excited no more cold mornings and nights... Well we had it installed on Wednesday went round to workshop and had a look at it being installed and stepped into a beautiful warm van yeah :) :) Picked it up Thursday after the Gas had been certified as being all good, drove it home both happy little vegemites.. Went out in the afternon to have a coffee in our nice warm van bugger heater not working DAMN.... rang workshop sent a man out first thing this morning had a bit of a look see, fiddled with a couple of things and guess what heater worked so BOSS happy again, friends called around tonight to have a sit in our nice warm van BUGGER Bl...dy thing not working again so BOSS is now NOT HAPPY JAN   so back to workshop on Tuesday to try and sort out the problem..... It starts up OK but only runs for about 1-2mins then shuts itself off...

Cheers Ros.

They are pretty simple things really not many moving parts. So ask em to are they qualified or what...

Morning Norman, yes they are very qualified we have had lots of work done by them and they are the only one's in Ballarat that we would take our van to they will get it sorted for us. Think it has something to due with the gas supply :?:

Bruce we put in the Truma E2400

Turn the stove on at the same time you light the gas heater, watch how the flame reacts on the stove top. The problem is quite likely a faulty regulator... there's plenty of gas in the bottle isn't there ;)

Hi Terry yes both gas bottles full and we have turned the stove on there is a little bit of yellow flame so could be a bit of air in the line , and yes we are going down the track of the regulator. But the bl...dy thing went all day when it was in the workshop :?:
Stayed turned

Long weekend Dot shop shut and we didn't push as Ivan wanted to work on it over the weekend so needed it in the back yard, we have to take it out on Tuesday to have air-con looked out so doing both on same day its not that easy getting it in and out of the yard.... If we were camped in the park jail we wold be jumping up and down big time.
