Re: Battery monitor
Cannot give a definitive answer, but believe the main difference is that with a Battery Monitor the readout can be remotely mounted where you can see it, where as the PL20 is read at the Controller.Mrcoolabah1au wrote:What the differance between a battery monitor with shunt and a pl20 with shunt ?

Re: Battery monitor
We use our dingo (which is a pl20 dressed up) as our battery monitor. We have all our loads and solar go through the dingo so it gives us our SOC readout. We only have a 300 watt inverter so no big loads go through it so no stunt requied for our setup. I like being able to read all our battery info at any time.

Re: Battery monitor
A battery monitor is just a battery monitor, a PL20 or Dingo with a shunt is a solar regulator, battery monitor and also has 3 programable output control functions.

Re: Battery monitor
Ok that sounds ok so i really dont need a shunt on my pl20 as we only have the 240 v tv to run of the inverter
Thanks all
