Re: Join CMCA only $44
Shirley if someone left a year or 2 ago do they need to resign up or just reactivate their membership?
I venture to say there are hundreds that may rejoin if there are a few obvious changes.

Re: Join CMCA only $44
I believe that you can rejoin & ask for your old number again, good time to join & not have to pay joining fee, the more members the better to fight for freedom camping, we are told that the club is at last hearing members wants so that has to be a plus.

Re: Join CMCA only $44
Maybe they could do a write up on their website asking for people to say what they want from the club,

But Dot , what if it is not what "they" want?
Seriously, I do hope some ex members do rejoin and use their votes to ensure that 'new blood' is elected to give Keith the support he needs to bring about much needed change, and to also ensure that some 'old blood with old ideas' is finally discarded once and for all

Good suggestion about a write up, but maybe they could ask, "why members bailed out in the first place".....

Better to put past behind & look to the future, I believe with new blood things are changing, so join & have your say in who gets elected.

1) reinstatement of the xxxx forum with all past data intact
2) a. thorough overhaul of RVFT scheme (*) with removal of signs for non-compliance. b. get rid of the confusing subtitiles; RVFL etc - it either is or it is not (personally I'd prefer just one condition - **RVCS.)
3) get out of bed with the caravan parks and do not insult with the argument that "we've secured a free camp for the modest sum of $5 per night" (a FNQ town touting this feature is currently doing the rounds and is a case in point)
4) ban advertorial content from the Wonderer with the benefit of fewer pages and less postal weight
dawg (these are my personal opinions and do not need justification or debate. If feelings/needs/desires are different, just post your own and I'll respect them)

Experience is a wonderful thing. It helps you recognise a mistake when repeated.

Re: Join CMCA only $44
We do probably need that referred to in point 4 Brad (advertising content) but perhaps a % limit?
Maybe 15% or 25%?
At present it's about 60% I'd estimate.
It is a revenue earner that might be subsidising staff wages or something.
The Wanderer does look nice & glossy sitting on our local Dr's waiting room table!!
Much better than Vogue or some of those 'other' ones!!

Ban advertising, nah, it makes the Wanderer interesting.
Nuthing will change, I have no expectations at any level.
