Fuseable Link on Coaster?

Post by Ian + Jan »

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if a 2002 4.2 diesel (non-turbo) Coaster have a fuseable link between the ignition and battery?
And where would it be located?

Ian, We have a 93 Late shape but it may be different. There are some links next to the batteries but you have to be lying on the ground to find them and there are some relays just in front of the passenger door. There is some more under a panel in front of the passenger door that can only be seen from inside as well. What is the fault with your rig?

Hi David,

Its not our vehicle, just trying to get some info for a friend. Their problem is the glow plug isnt cycling, motor is cranking over fine but not starting. We just thought it might be the fuseable link on the glow side but didnt know where it was.
Thanks for the info, we will get under and have a look.

Thanks to those who responded to this call for help. The culprit was a plug not pushed home correctly. All fixed now and our friend's coaster is now up and running. :P :P :P

Thanks.

Gee, I reckon that would have been a real bugger to find.
