Hi Everyone, We spent last night free camped at the NT/SA Boarder along with about 12 other campers, had a great Happy Hour around a big campfire, but as it was quite cold we went back to the lovely warmth of our gas heater, but then it started to rain about 11pm and it rained and rained and rained, left camp about 8am and it was still raining, rained all the way to Alice, not a lot of traffic on the road so that was good. Booked into our C/P for the next three days while we get the car serviced tomorrow, but that is when the sh..t hit the fan so to speak, found the van had been leaking like a sieve. So to say "NOT HAPPY JAN" would be an understatement, water coming in the front windows (Have already had these fixed once) water also coming in the kitchen side window, and the best one of all dripping through a join in the roof just near our 4 season hatch    spent all afternoon drying out our bedding. This van is only 17months old so we are more than disappointed, so far we also have problems with the air-con and the 12volt part of our 3 way fridge has also stopped working on this trip and we are only 1 week into 4 months away.. Looks like the BOSS will be busy when we get back, so could everyone cross your fingers that we do not get any more rain until we get home   WHO has sent me MURPHY.. :?

Cheers Ros.

Poor buggers, hope you get all those dam issues sorted, NOT good enough for something so new. :x :x :x Just think of the nice warm weather you should be coming into very soon.. Have you let the "agents" know of these new problems?? xx

Thanks Dot we are sort of between a rock and hard place as we did go through an agent in NSW but all financial dealings were done with the old Regent factory in Melbourne so we had a factory warranty not a dealers warranty and as Regent went bust just after we took delivery of this van we sort of lost all warranties, but I will be emailing the agent who so far has been really helpful.. Maybe we should have a sign made and put on the back of the van and call it "THELEAKYSEIVE"  not going to let it spoil our holiday will deal with it when we get home. Mean while we will just pray for sunshine.

Cheers Ros.

Ros, Try to get something like" Eterna bond tape " After spending lots of money (thousands ) trying to get leaks fixed on our motorhome I solved our leaking problems. Google Eternabond to see demonstration video.

Ros,
When you have good internet reception, Google 'ACCC' and download their 'Consumer Guarantees: A Guide for Manufacturers & Legal Practitioners'.
Much interesting reading.
I suspect you'll still have a claim against the dealer, even if the manufacturer has gone belly-up. With so many leaks & the 12v problem, the van is clearly 'not fit for purpose'. :(
Refer to my tale of woe with our diesel heater, p4-> of my thread "Inverter Problem Now..." viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1524
