Because you cant fit the big hoses of a holding tank into these, it'd sit on top and it'll overflow.

What size is it. I haven't seen one that our 'standard; black tank discharge hose will not fit. Is it less than 50mm?

No, the opening in the concrete trough like these (at a lot of places in WA some are enclosed!) is about 50mm our hose is 75mm. The discharge pipe on the Dumpezy Dump Points is about 90mm. As is the breathe pipe on this one!

I wonder how may would carry 3" (75mm) hoses around with them Wendy?
OK, I know you do & you're all setup to go but I can just image one gurgle & it's all gone!!!
I guess if it a problem in many places for you, you could get a reducer for the last metre?

3 inch slinkies are the Standard, the USA standard, anyway. they are sold at all Caravan Parts Stores in Australia.
These hoses reduce to 60mm at the outlet fitting. I have never found a DP that our 3" hose does not fit. We are on number four of our Dump hoses over the past 6 years. We do carry a Macerator that discharges 25 metres through an 18mm hose, but we use it very rarely (about twice every 3 years)
Australian Dump points however have a range of discharge hole sizes...but who cares ....most often I find people just dump in the container and hope it will eventually go down the hole after they have gone. :( It usually doesn't.

Seems that even when facilities are provided some people just have to be grubs of the first degree  dirty buggers :x
