We are wha we eat

Post by glenda »

With all the discussions about we are what we eat going on at the present time like I am convinced if you are really serious you can live a longer & healthier life if you are prepared to have a go!! (Same for our Dogs?)

Well it is now proberly 2 months since my best friend Penny (my Little dog) was not expected to last much longer. she is 15 you know!!

she had ongoing problems for a long time example a strange cough like a hair in her throat, also eating grass & bringing up bile, would go a day or two & not eat, shocking breath,

she is now on a special tin food for older dogs that protect there kidneys & is supposed to have in it everything that older dogs need,

Well she is a different little dog Bossy, has more energy, a whole new lease of life, goes to the loo every day & is happy, :)

!!It just has to be what she is eating!! :o

no one is properly interested but I Just thought I would let you know.

Just love my little dog :D

At last the public are starting to hear what really does go into our best friends food. It is nice to hear that Miss Penny is doing fine and enjoying her senior years :D :D . Have a look at www.vetsallnatural.com.au as well. :D Then google "4 D's in pet food" have a bucket handy and be angry... :x :x

Our little Crunchie dog was getting all despondent, particular in rainy weather. We take her for arthritis injections every 6 weeks or so, but we have now determined it's related to her going for an evening walk, we don't go for a walk on the rainy nights and so she gets down in the dumps knowing there won't be a walk happening if it’s raining
We changed to Aldi dry dog food and those square foil wet food packs, that has made quite a change to her as well, still gets the lightly braised blade steak or lightly braised chicken drumstick interchanged with the wet food as an evening meal....spoilt rotten

Chihuahua/Maltese cross, her taste for fresh blood has mellowed these days though  We inherited her from our daughter, well actually we paid for the knee reconstruction and she never went back home  The female dog and the male 3 legged cat, that's about the same size as the dog, have developed an uneasy truce. The dog learnt early that the cat may only have one front leg but it's lightening fast and packed with very sharp claws
Young Max, Eddie The Bush Rat's K9 companion discovered a similar thing while he was visiting too

Crunchie was named by our daughter as her fur is the colour of the honey comb in a crunchie bar, I said it was the noise a dog that size makes when you step on it.... I was not in the good books for quite a while
We have mellowed her attitude problem quite a bit so now she is everyone's darling rather than her next snack, but get down at face level and do the "Aren't you cutie wooty" nonsense and be prepared for a nose readjustment  Poor TOF from the CF discovered that at the first Kerang get together :o even TOF's rather nasty bull dog took a number of steps backwards
