Mum and Dad had a place in Beechworth overlooking a beautiful valley, when the wattle and the Sally Jane aka Patterson's curse was in full bloom the valley never looked more beautiful

A little further nth and quite a bit east. If you draw a line from Lake Illawarra nth, this spot would be close on dead nth of here. Now there is big clue to the area anyway.supersparky wrote:I have some great purple paddock pictures of Gundagai. Taken when the river was up. What about Hill End. Maybe up that way on the Turon perhaps?
At Victoria Markets in Melbourne some budding entrepreneur had bunches of Paterson Curse wrapped in clear cellophane and selling them as Riverina Blue Bells

That would be getting up near Scone then? Wouldn't it?
The patto at the market should been Balmattum Blue Bells. The Balmattum Hills on the end of the Strathbogie Ranges used to be full of it.

East and south of Scone, but you are getting closer, about half way back south from you last guess.

Re: Where is this....
You are getting very close now, a tad too far east, this town is the centre of a famous wine growing area.

Very close now Kay. It's a small town that I doubt would even exist if it wasn't for all the vineyards around it bringing the tourists in. It's on a road between Sessnock and a place that's worse than damaged.
