Thanks to Coast to Coast RV for their friendly assistance with my recent issues when travelling above Mackay when my auto SATTV Alden system refused to lock onto a satellite.
Even though the system was 5 years old they cheerfully upgraded the firm ware from 9 to 10 for no cost although I had to pay $6.95 postage to get the unit to them(no big deal). Posted on Wednesday, got it back the following Tuesday Morning.
Thanks fellas (Bill Stitt in particular), a great piece of professional support there.

SteveW wrote:$6.95 was the easy bit, Russell. The $2000 in fuel to go north and see if it works is going to be the bit that hurts.
But an excuse to plan next trip north

Now how do you plan to put that forward to the minister of war and finance as a selling point for this trip? Now that would be a very handy piece of information if you come up with a plan that works
How much did the auto satillite system cost? Can you get it to do internet and phone as well?

Question 1: ya gotta make them think it was their idea, helps to plant idea in her best friends mind as a good idea in first place. I've tried stamping feet and crying but doesn't work very often.
Question 2: Mine came with the MH, about $4,000 retail I think.
Question 3: It's a sat dish so I guess it can do most things ordinary dish's do, I don't have it set up for phone or internet.
