EerWeGoAgen Departs Sept 1st 2013

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Left home @ 10am Fuel Diesel 153.7 Cpl. total lts 209. (ULP 140.7 Cpl)
Stopped at Parilla for lunch, and now stopped in Manangatang (Vic) . Nice showers and clean loos in an area suitable for big rigs as well. In town opposite the pub (Wattle St) Was going to have tea at the pub but no meals on a Sun & Mon night. There is a couple from Adelaide in a cub camper (on their way home) they were also going to go to the pub for tea but the owner was nice enough to sell then 2 pieces of sirloin for $6. Now a caravan has just pulled in. Miss Meow travelled very well in her crate and when we stopped she just laid on the floor. When we stopped she asked for and got her tea and now she is asleep on the floor. :D Went for a walk to loosen up the old back and took a couple of pics till the batteries conked it but will get one in the morn of the malley stump garden. Gee some people are noisy when setting up aren't they? and it aint the frogs a croaking either

Did well huh? Thank god I am the driver else we would never get anywhere, he aka George aka Annacondaman was up and down like a demented ferret on speed getting food or a drink  No excitement tingles yet, maybe I haven't realised we are finally away. Just plodded along between 85 &90kph. The road was so quiet barely any traffic at all but there were the usual nutters passing on double lines and brows of hills but I guess that is par for the course these days. Plenty of good o/n stops along this road (Malley Hwy) This little town has so many old and empty shops, what a shame. Going for a nice hot shower now. :D :D

Dot, At your current rate of travel you will up this way by about Tuesday. Make the most of the road less traveled as the Newell is always busy, if that is the way you are going.
Cheers

That's a good start Dot & G!
Love to be out & about as well but still got a few things that need attention.
How's that air leak on one side going? Fixed? I can't remember hearing the outcome of that.
Happy trails! ;) ;)

David, we join the Newell HW at Wst Wyalong till Goondiwindi then onto the Gore HW, then the Warrego HW to Marburg.. The Newell HW can't be that bad can it??
Bruce the mechanic seemed to stop the "drooping" by replacing the back 2 levelling valves and took the front one apart and fiddled / rearranged the valves. :? :? :? Shake your booty next week and get a going.

Dot, It's pretty good going, the trucks are all used to us travellers. I usually turn off the Newell just north of Dubbo at Brocklehurst then head to Mendooran. It is a good road and a lot less hills than from Gilgandra to Coonabarrabran. Good free camp on the Mendooran Common.
Whichever way you decide to go, have a great trip. See you and G man soon.
Cheers
