EerWeGoAgen Departs Sept 1st 2013

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

I know what you mean Dot about the dirty maggots crapping all over the place. Just wait till you see the parking area on the Pacific heading up to the Qld border. I kniow those self composting dunnies stink but christ can't they hold their nose for a few minutes. Its about times something was done about this. Local councils its time to clean up the act if you want tourism.

Roads here in NSW are good its just that you people south of the border in the never land are spoilt. These roads are good to fault find suspensions and steering, we design them up here just for that....

I think a lot of the trouble is that the local councils/shires aren't the ones looking after the highways.
I know we have that problem here. The council is forever sending nasty reports into the highways mob. (who use contractors)
Aren't some of us lucky we have our own toilets/showers?

Dot,
There's another campsite north of Dubbo, right on the river. No poo-piles there! Toilets provided, no showers.
Turn left after crossing the big causeway, at the tyre service place... then follow the signs.

If your present environs start to pong a bit, you might consider a 'change of address'!! :D

We're camped at Lake Lascelles campsite, Hopetoun, Vic. Unpowered is free; powered is $10. (Last time we checked... don't use their power...) Nice & warmmmm. At 1830hrs outside temp is 25.5deg!!

Next stop: Melbourne. :( At least the forecast is for 26deg. Then it drops again.

Just spent 4 days in Mildura Base Hosp with severe URTI. Possibly flu, definitely not pneumonia - this time.
Paroled yesterday.
Regards & God bless,
Ray

That's a bummer Ray. drink heaps of water not that red or amber stuff. Should have said something we have friends in Mildura even Helen the reformed boring one is there still. Hope you are on the mend now.. The last poo piled place we were at for lunch had the mowing men there guess they just munch it but they couldn't get under the trees to get that lot. Still reckon the dunnies as bad as they are don't have as many piles around them. :D

day 4 sees us parked up for tonight at Tookeys Rest area between Narrabri and Moree. Now 2 MH's and 4 CV's. Disappointment of the day was at Coonabarabran, needed fuel so you automatically look for a truck place so right through town O big service stations so turn around (followed a caravan that had also turned) there are 2 fuel places, the first is a Shell on the left coming in from Sth and another piddly place further down the main st on the right. Even cars were having trouble getting into that one. So we bit the bullet and went into the shell place height restriction is 3.7mts. The price was the most expensive for a large town at $1.66cpl but I remembered a coles docket and with the 4 cents off I saved $6. Quite a lot of roadworks as well. Wildlife seen today was heaps of dead roos, lots of crows and 1 emu having a drink out of a puddle. Once again Miss Meow was a good pussy and slept in her basket while we were in motion. Never seen so many vans and MH's heading South, why?? has there been a I"M a getting again? :? Cuppa tea is awaiting :D

You ask Why? Dot. Probably because it is getting too bloody hot in Qld.

Yep.......... & I guess some are heading down for the rally.
What range do you have with full tanks Dot?
You need a list of truck stops I reckon.
Which way you going from Goondiwindi? Warwick or Toowoomba?
2 very big truck stops in Goondiwindi.
Nearly there! Early start tomorrow should get you to your first 'stop'.

Must be pretty weak mob up there then. We did 399ks today. Big rig just pulled in Big Winnie, a trailer with a small car on the bottom level and a boat on the upper level and bikes on the front of the trailer as well. The trailer has 6 wheels. Funnily enough the lady has just gone to the pongy loo thought that flash Winnie would have a loo on board??  Oh my, the little genny has just revved up a few notches, must be tea time or the air con had to go on (CV) way over the other side G reckons approx 100mts away

Funny you should mention the vans heading south....we're finding the same thing. I don't reckon it's THAT hot yet.
