I suspect that like many of these WA coast places it's very cliquey, I've met people that have been going to the same place (and I mean actual site they park the van on) with the same people for 30 years. Same on Ningaloo Station and other places.

I'm sure that's the case at Barn Hill as well, but I probably didn't notice because we camped as far away from the main part as possible and had no contact with the regulars or indeed anyone else really. I considered it the price I had to pay to explore that coastline on foot, so when I say Barn Hill is nice, I suppose I'm really referring to the coastline you can access from there.

We never had that problem, but then we never availed ourselves of the bowling green, as for the regulars taking over a site that can happen any where, even in Queensland, where the same set, arrives at the same campsite year after year and woe betide any one who is camped in "their" campsite or who dares to park at a different angle to what they deign correct. And beware if you want to fish in their favorite fishing spot, etc. I am afraid that this just seems to be human nature, you either mix or you don't! Don't blame them!

Quite a few power limited parks around, the lowest we have stayed at was the Old Halls creek C/P about 16 klms from Halls creek, max power available was 2 yes 2 amps - it did run the lights !
I believe it has been for sale for at least 4 or 5 years pretty run down.
