Blimey! We've done it now!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Blimey! We've done it now!

Post by Swisslulu »

While parked up here at Standown Park killing time till we can relieve our house sitters of their burden on Wednesday, we decided to make a run up to Maryborough to check out RV Homebase, which we did last Thursday. Very impressed with the whole set up and quality of the homes. So we went away and thought about it and decided there was no suitable land left in Stage 3 for which they will begin constructing the roads in October making a move in date around March. So we thought we would opt for a block in Stage 4 which would see us in about this time next year. So we took ourselves up there again today (150 km round trip) to select a block and pay a fully refundable $1000 holding fee. When we arrived we found that a terrific block in Stage 3 had become available as the buyers could not proceed as planned. Blow me down but we have picked the plan, made the alterations and are on our way to moving! Don't know how the kids are going to react but, hell, it's our life and we plan to enjoy what's left of it!
Cheers
Lesley

Lesley do you mind telling us a bit about this "Homebase" you're talking about?
I've not heard of it.
Is there a website about it? Who is running/organising it?
Just needs me to move in next to you & your dreams will become nightmares!!!
:P ;)

Look great Erich & Lesley, congratulations. Which home design did you choose?

We went for the Yarra 3V. 2 bedrooms plus an office and a 16 x 6m attached garage to house the RV and tug. Certainly not cheap but great included features and very up market inclusions. We can pack up and leave and not worry about anything. So a foot in the real estate market with the bonus of being able to leave any time. No exit fees.

From $299,000
Oh well, that'll teach me to retire at 45, heck I don't think I had that much at the time let alone 15 years later :)
