Hello Jon & Kay, good to hear from you both again and welcome to the forum. Lost contact after my..... separation from the other forum so i hope you both stick around for a while.
I thought your motorhome used the Pac Brake system but I wasn’t sure and you weren’t here and…. thanks for the conformation post that the system does work.
Now, a photo of shopping trolley with the feral kid strapped in and an exhaust brake fitted, after producing the koala-sheep for Norman’s avatar I'm sure you are up to the task

Thanks for the welcome guys. I always knew you would make a good mod Terry , but Norman, I thought you were too busy. 
Yes, the Pac Brake has had a good workout all around Australia. These transmissions that don't lock are not ideal, and impossible without some engine retarding. If there is a downside, it appears to put a lot of pressure on the Turbo. On the up side, turbo chargers are getting cheaper.
The Gumtree find is a good one. Very good value at $500.

Gumtree one gone but they make guillotine exhaust brakes, which are supposed to be even better than the butterfly ones. Waiting for approx price

Here is a link to SGV Exhaust Brakes. I had a quote for a 3" air operated one with a simple foot operation, approx $1500 from memory.
