We're thinking of doing this too...where did you get it...and what's the best price...we already have the dish for austar, but stopped using satellite. However, we will be heading bush the beginning of August, and it would be nice to have.

Cheers

I bought mine direct through Easy Sat, right now they are cheaper than the one on Ebay, not sure about postage and I can't remember exactly what I paid, it was around this price though.

Ours is working just fine, the bag is pretty big so I have recently made a bracket in the boot to hold the dish , works like a charm :)

State of Origin is great on the big screen :) :)

We took the plunge last week when we were in Perth. I was impressed with "Access Antennas & Satellites" service from our previous dealings when we bought our first set up, so I rang them and their price was great and the best I could get. I bought the Altech UEC DSR 4639 Twin tuner VAST. I liked the idea of the twin PVR and inbuilt hard drive. The old LNB (10700) works fine. You don't really need a sat finder as long as you set the angle of the dish correctly and the stand is set up vertically, or you need to do then is swing the dish around to the correct direction. Geocamps does have a sat finder which is handy. And $3 for the app it is good value.

I found the digital sat finder made it very easy for one person to set it up the dish, the sat finder shows the signal strength and has an audible tone. Once 'locked' on just connect the coax to the truck and it works :)

I did consider the twin tuner and inbuilt hard drive but for how often we use it it was not worth worrying about for us.

Hi Rob,
You can achieve the same by putting the tune channel on and turning up the volume ;)

First time in 2 months Raena and I had the same day off. So we went to Sat-plus. Got a terrific deal for cash cash not eftpos cash. Came home and had channel 800 up and running in 10 minutes, that included getting TV from bedroom out on the deck. Will register it and should be good. I also got the guy to throw in the remote extender so I can put the box in the back of a cupboard. No holes to drill as i am going to use the old TV aerial input. Just a few mods in the cupboard.
