I really feel for those in or near the NSW fires.
I think we in SA might be in for a bad year as well although our fire season won't be for a couple of months yet.

Looks like a bad year coming up for fires so everyone on the road keep your eyes on the Blazeaid site blazeaid.com.au
If you are travelling think about giving a hand, I assure you it will be one of the highlights of your travels.
I was hoping for a year of no fires and floods so I could enjoy some travelling but looks like it will not happen.
Once we get organised I will start a thread and perhaps we can have a area where people can let us know if they are prepared to help and also keep all up to date with what is happening.
Just hope the cyclones keep away.
It is about time the authorities realised you have to get rid of the undergrowth earlier and stop the fires spreading.
Looking at the reports on TV this morning and there is still the houses with trees right up to the house and rubbish piled up near the house. One house had a pile of rubbish burning along side the fence and the house was OK but I assume the house eventually went up as well.

I think there was enough orange glow in the sky to illuminate things though?
