Our GP really sticks it up to the hospitals and claims they are employing junior doctors just out of training as they work for peanuts and very, very long hours and don't complain, just happy to be in a job. Some of them look like school kids playing at doctor. Thank god for the nurses advising them. Health system is really third world in the country.

Not long ago I went into hospital with chest pains, have a history of long term cardiac problems. Young doctor does his thing and says to give him, (me) a disprin, thinks it might be indigestion. Nurse pops up and suggests we should be giving him something better relieve the pain. Dose of morph. and the pain eases after a bit. I probably would have been dead if it wasn't for her. Young doctor totally useless. Nothing against young doctors they have to learn but shit, they need to be supervised and not making their own decisions. Pretty darn scary when you are at their mercy and "knowledge" but the bean counters that run these hospitals are holding the purse strings or at least the hopeless bloody governments are.

If half the money wasted in Iraq & Afghanistan was spent where it's needed by OUR tax payers ...................

Governments of both persuasions think more of assisting overseas countries than helping out here at home with our own on going domestic problems. Look at the money we give to these so called third world or developing countries, their people continue to starve with all sorts of diseases and are dying by the thousands despite all the money thrown into the fix, but their military has more arms and war equipment and the latest war planes than most countries of the so call developed countries have. But we still give to these countries who really are our enemies. They hate us westerners with a passion, but because the so called bloody do gooders in Europe think we need to assist these countries the money keeps flowing. Our government thinks we need to look good in the bigger picture. We need a revolution in this country before we wind up like the US going down the gurgler. We need to help ourselves not the others for the time being.

How are you 2 going Dot & G, hope things are on the improve, BOSS had his MRI tonight (yes they did it at 6pm) gets his results next week, still having trouble with one leg half numb and aching like a tooth ache and his is getting cranky not to mention he is unfit to do the ironing so hope they get him sorted soon, I am just hanging in there, van half cleaned out just doing a little each day
