Be interesting to hear how BernieQ's is holding up. I think he has just installed 2 in his new build.
I wonder if a good scratching with coarse emery would help?

I have found that using the Sikaflex primer after a good roughing up of the surface will make the 11FC stick to anything so it would be inteeting to see if it stuck to these new plastic 4 seasons hatches.
As for the dealer coming to the party for repairs to Ros & The Boss's caravan, that was a case of going beyond the legal requirement to keep their customers happy and I think deserves a name and fame, so tell us who it was that did the good deed Ros.

Terry,
Tried the 11FC and the marine Sika. Both peeled away easily. Didn't use the activator though. Still have the marine on it now and holding but still peels away just to easy. I am avoiding going anywhere near the hatch just in case. I am thinking aquarium silicone might be the better option as it sticks like ...... to a blanket and is tough as old boots to pull away.

Would love to tell all T1 Terry but it has to be between us and them only, it was also with help from our Caravan repair shop they have done some of the work for free also. So it's a big thankyou to all involved.. Our repairer is not a great lover of silicon at all much prefers what was used a few years ago. We are very happy little vegemite's just hope that all this work fixes the problemsT1 Terry wrote:I have found that using the Sikaflex primer after a good roughing up of the surface will make the 11FC stick to anything so it would be inteeting to see if it stuck to these new plastic 4 seasons hatches.

As long as it has been done and you are happy with the results that is all that matters, good news.

I feel complete now our van is home all fixed (we hope) and waiting patiently for a good wash.
If only we had time to pack her up and take off again...
Cheers Ros.
