Yep terrific ph
otos....
Oh and apparently jet lag is worse coming east....and it normally takes at least one day per hour difference to recover...
I always take longer....although when we go to England I seem to recover quicker...especially during the summer when the daylight wakes me up at 9500 am!
Try to get out in the sunshine for a while each day, that helps...
Welcome back!
Cheers
Dee
And Greg of course
took off your stutter Dee

Glad to share and thank you for the kind words. They are appreciated for the job is truly monumental.
Gibraltar British Territory:
View from the arriving ship; oh goodie the rock is in cloud - nothing to see here folks. We did a self tour which led us through the tourist trap to get to the cable car up the mountain.
On the way we came upon a vintage car display in the city square. There were three or four vehicles which included a neat Triumph Stag (or was it a rare Jaguar), but I only had eyes for this one. After monkeying round in the square we got to meet the real locals - top dogs on the hill. We were warned not to make friends as they tend to take advantage of soft touches. I didn't need warning, but kept extra careful using the LONG lense and avoided arms (or jumping) reach.

Gibraltar British Territory:
Amazingly, you can see Africa from Spain! The road from Spain to the British section cuts across the airstrip. When needed, they lower boom gates and the traffic stops for take offs and/or landings. It's called the honour system - you honour it or die. Fortunately the return trip through the city was down hill and just what tired feet need at the end of the slog.
The British have a firm hold here and don't look like handing it back real soon. We visited a glass blowing factory in the city square, but seeing as you all know what glass looks like, well I skipped the photos for that bit.

I've hinted already, but let's make official; I just lurved A Caruna and Cadiz, so it has to be Spain - I could live there and would not hesitate to revisit.Dot wrote:So what place was your favourite Brad? and please do not say home.

Turkey was nice, but Spain was a better fit for me.

Welcome back Brad, we hope that you and Maree have had a great time. I thought you must have been kidnapped, or maybe just lost your phone.

Cheers

You sure crammed a lot into your trip Brad & Maree, but the memories will last for a life time of round the campfire stories, can't ask for more than that
Thankyou for all the photos, it's been great seeing the places you've been and maybe it will tempt me to have a look outside Aust, but I still want to see Aust first.
