No great dramas, cleaned up the area using my trusty small step ladder & tried to reattach it 2 days ago with a bit of gluey looking stuff in an old tube if found in the tool box. Didn't work.
As I was considering my next move the winds really whipped up so decided to drop the awning to be safe. Went to where we would normally store the small step ladder when stationary - between the front tube (bar de-flappers & 3 x support arms for the awning) & the front boot in the van.
NOT THERE!!!
Bugger... some mongrel bastard stole our little steps... Sheeeeeeeeesh!!!
Jump in the Cruiser & find our way to the nearest Bunnings to replace it. Can't find anything similar so end up getting a 3 step ladder for $79... a bit bigger than what we wanted but it will have to do.
Get back & drop the awning then put the new ladder in the boot - just fits widthwise.
This morning Navigator walks up to the office to book in for another 3 days & as she returns she notices the old step ladder at the back of the van - where I left it.
Gunna take the new one back to Bunnings for a refund!
if so where do I find them
