Re: New GeoWiki Software
Boatie for sure one day but might be without the boat!!!
Might be too big to get out of the creek? !!
Unfortunately my block isn't really suitable for overnight visitors other than in a sloping down driveway.
I do have power & fresh (rain) water on the side of the driveway too.
I'd reckon most people that live in a town or city will have limited access to the backyard or adjoining block.
The Strathalbyn one being one notable exception ofcourse!

Re: New GeoWiki Software
Ok gone and done it, rejoined the bloody club !
The way we look at it, if the newer blood, and hopefully more soon, is achieveing stuff FOR MEMBERS instead of the whole bloody industry, wicked vans et all, that surely is what the original intention was for.
Hopefully this MSO is the first step in the right direction.
Here is something interesting though. Went to rejoin, need number, forgotten, sent email to cmca to ask for it, told I was allowed to rejoin at 60.50, not 44
Went to website, only way is 44 1 year, 88 2 year etc !!!
So waiting to see how much they steal from my credit card !!

Re: New GeoWiki Software
I have just renewed my membership, I agree with William that the new blood will take a while to sweep through. The new POP scheme is looking attractive and Ken Tame remain benefits. For my requirements and interests the CMCA still suits. We don't lack forums now and the choice seems to be growing.

Re: New GeoWiki Software
This is what I was referring to in their code of conduct for the POP scheme.
#8. "To not park overnight or camp within line of sight
of a caravan park unless in an approved overnight rest area."
Well on a clear night out in the woop woops you can see for miles. IMHO that is one brown nosing sentence. grovel grovel grovel

But if you stand on the other side of the bus it would not be in your line of site, Dot.
