How about you try some peasants florentine bickies?
Into a huge bowl chuck a box of cornflakes and then add as much junky stuff as you wish. My list includes mixed fruit, cherries, smarties, choc dots, coconut (flaked is great), flaked almonds, nuts and whatever sweet stuff, you have in the pantry.
mix like buggery
pour over some condensed milk, dont be too generous. The idea is that the milk will stick the lot together, but if you can see more than just a shiny haze, you have used too much condensed milk.
Big teaspoonfulls onto baking paper lined trays, into 180C oven for about 15 minutes or until golden...watch the bottoms tend to trick you and burn easily.
Havent found a person who can resist these crunchy treats yet!

No burnt bums but have to admit the first lot fell apart not enough of the sticky stuff.. Just had one myself don't think they will do the sugars any good at this hour of the night:lol: but really are quite yum..Sorry Terry yes I can be cruel at times just ask THE BOSS

Sorry Ros, for not replying earlier. I havent really been here (if you know what I mean). I am really impressed. You did a great job with the peasants florentine bickies, they are fairly quick to make and as you now know, there is nobody on this earth that can just eat one. My family wont let us go to the caravan park where we all share Christmas unless I have made a few big batches of em!
