Tassie Bound

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Tassie Bound

Post by Loki »

Hi all,
Sunday I leave Brisbane and travel down the Newell Highway for home in Tassie. Future travels are uncertain but the last few years have been terrific! It is a large and fascinating country full of friendly people (I didn't meet more than two grumps!) and if I don't get to travel far and wide in the future, I'll have some wonderful memories - and photos - of life on the road in my HiAce poptop campervan.

As a solo, it was rather daunting heading off at first, thinking of all the bad things that could happen but that is the wrong outlook - it has been thoroughly exciting, a fascinating experience and I can encourage anyone wishing to do so NOT TO (wish that is, just get out there and DO IT). Should you have any problems, there are a whole host of people who are willing to help, as all realise that one day they might require assistance so what goes around comes around on the road. A trip around Tassie is planned for sometime over the summer/autumn period, perhaps see you then!
Happy Travels in 2014 to all!

Thought you had gone to ground Loki, missed your pics and comments of your travels. There are heaps of forum people from there to Tassie on your way home so give them a hoy and go meet up, but be warned there are some real nutty ones amongst us.. Supersparky for one is up your way. Then there is Ros to do your ironing and will also supply a lemon slice with a cuppa in Ballarat. Safe travels
Queen of the Banal & OT chatter and proud of it. If it offends you then tough titty titty bang bang.

Have a great time...we often meet solo travellers, always have a yarn with them. Enjoy!

Cheers
