Went to Salamanca markets today, what is all the fuss about, same as any other market.
Then to "Taste of Tassie" [from today till the 2/1] 100's people [tour ship in too] choice wines to sample, food to buy [love Tassie food & wine].
Back in there tonight for the finish of Syd - Hobart, Wild Oats due in at 1930 and Loyal due at 0200 29/12.

We all you made a boo boo with the arrival times Peter unless Loyal stopped for a pee behind a tree!!!
Both you & I could write a book?
I watched them arrive in 1967 !!! (in my FJ Holden at the time!)

Happy New Year to all. I'm attempting to put up two photos. One taken in June 13 at the Tip of Cape York. The other taken Yesterday at Cockle Creek The most Southerly point [end of road] in Australia [Tassie]. Both times in the company of Bob & Lorraine Voss. Arrived at Cockle Creek yesterday from Hobart, lunch fresh cooked Crayfish, dinner Abolone [fresh caught]. Watched Satellites every nine minutes till midnight beside a roaring fire [in a 44 gal drum]. Today went fishing Pulled the pots only 2 legal crays the rest back in. then we caught 4 nice flathead [not me], came home and they donated the fish to me. Going again tomorrow.
Forget the photos

Yes Dot it was a great experience, I had an enjoyable 2 days even if we didn't get as close as we would have liked, we were only doing about 7 knots and the race boats were doing about 14 knots or more.
