There is just no where else it could have got to! But why a $2 shop plastic bowl with about 7 tomatoes????

? Light fingers.
Yesterday our van was at a workshop for the day. To-day went to get my bowl($2) with tomatoes for lunch salad & it is no where to be found. Was in van when Bruce too off yesterday am, of that I am sure because I checked that it was not likely to fall off a bench or be in the way of workmen. Have looked in every cupboard, under bed etc etc.
There is just no where else it could have got to! But why a $2 shop plastic bowl with about 7 tomatoes????

Nah! I don't think so Kay. They told us to remove anything sentimental or of value. It will turn up somewhere. When we got home from our 7 month trip stuff was in all the wrong places but I was missing a necklace. Not expensive so why would the house sitter take it??? Had the carpet cleaner in recently and had to move everything. Obviously the jewellery stand on the bedside table in the spare room had toppled and the necklace was lodged between the mattress and base. These things end up in the most strange places.

I would be asking who it was that worked on your van. Were they hungry and needed a haircut (bowl cut) Hope it wasn't pinched as it leaves a nasty dent in your trust of people.

Probably removed from the van and placed in the lunchroom fridge so they didn't spoil while they were working on the van, they just forgot to return them to the van afterwards, i doubt it was an evil deed.

I have literally researched the van this morning. The cost is irrelevant- BUT!

Truss tomatoes in SA $3.50kgShirley wrote:Tomatoes been $8 a kilo locally since before Xmas, toms worth more than bowl.
If the bowl and contents are not in the van or in Kay's accommodation elsewhere, then there is a thief about, nothing should be taken out of their van unless they are asked.

Re: ? Light fingers.
At least you got to see them!
I had a lovely crop of them growing on the bush before I went 'boating'.............
I'm thinking I'll go home to some shrivelled old plant .............
Years ago I araldited a 2 shilling piece in my ash tray ....... surprised how many decided they should remove it ...........
