Smash to ruin a holiday!!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

OMG they crumble into matchsticks, scary hope no injuries apart from maybe pride. We saw 2 like that last time we were over WA and people were just picking through what was left of them as well.

Somehow I think that is bad Karma - you know, collecting some of the bad luck, if there is such a thing.

(not superstitious, but dawg wouldn't do it)

We asked a copper we met about why they just leave the vans there as is and he said mainly the cost is involved when way out there, the people just seem to take what is their personal stuff and leave the rest.

Not nice I feel for them, we have been there done that... First van, first trip only got 50 kms from home. lucky to be here, had it all investigated as to why got no real answers it was a new van, we were not travelling fast and going up a hill and thought we had done all our homework about towing before we purchased the van even had the van and car set up done by so called experts :( took sometime to get over it but decided to get back on the horse so to speck  have now been travelling happily without any problems for over 10 years and so glad we decided to try it again.

Cheers Ros.

Friends of ours started out with a brand new van & tug on The Big Lap some years ago.
Travelling on a freeway less than 100km from home when they came out of a cutting into a howling crosswind.
You can guess the result.
:? Flipped the van and the tug!
Miraculously, both walked away without a scratch. :o Just badly shaken.
But the van was peeled open & smeared across the countryside, along with all their food & possessions.
Car was also a write-off.
Insurance replaced the lot! (not KTA) Including clothes torn in the incident and food.
Take 2: They checked weather forecasts before departing. ;)
Finally saw most of Highway 1& enjoyed themselves immensely. Confirmed vanners now. :D
Regards & God bless,
Ray
