Ouch, my whole 250ltr fridge/freezer is only around $600 delivered, so much for these things beig built to suit the RV market.
Hope it all gets sorted so you will be all ready for the Murray Bridge trip. Thought any more about those batteries? ;)

I have 3 x 240vac fridges runing on my lithiums and solar at home, 2 x 250ltr fridge freezers and one 500 ltr fridge/freezer. When I had the same capacity AGM batteries I could oly run one of te 250ltr fridges during good sunny weather, the battery charger on the batteries and the fridge on mains after a days rain. With the lithiums, 3 days rain till I need the battery charger, but I can leave the fridges connected, when the sun reappear I turn the charger off. The same batteries also run the 60 ltr Waeco, the solar hot water recirculation pumps and control gear and the back patio lighting, plus my computer.
So, yes, the lithiums will run a 240vac fridge via an inverter without problems.

I agree Terry can't wait for our 230Litre Vitrofrigo to pack up so we can get a decent 240vac one.

wife wants a new fridge in the swaggie....Not prepared to chop more holes in it to fit a different shaped fridge, and not sure how I can anchor a 240v fridge/freezer in place anyway, so that will be $2000 for cosmetic purposes!

What fridge is in there now Martin? newcastle george got so fed up with the Waeco he bought a Hi-Sense and it slotted into the same spot, problems solved. i think he managed to sell the waeco for enough to cover the purchase of the Hi-sense and a bit left over.

Brian has had a 350ltr 240vac fridge in his bus since he bought it. With the Li batteries and 700W of solar he not only rus his fridge, but his induction cook top, hot water and split system air con, plus the coffee machine, pie maker, bread maker ..... He hasn't plugged into power for 2 yrs I believe. We got his generator out to see if it would run the charger he bought, then the question was asked, if you haven't had to use it in 2 yrs, why do you still carry it....... no answer yet

Terry, its a 150l vitrifigo fridge freezer, the one with the separate freezer on top. It was a bit undervented when we got it,but goes bloody well on the lithiums and with a little more venting. Inside its stained a bit and a couple of cosmetic cracks in the inner cases in the freezer compartment. I reckon it would mostly scrub up. I did have to redo the mounting screws after our outing on the tanami, but if i had remembered to drop the tire pressures a bit first i dont think i would have had that issue either. Anyway, it will be the same model and size fridge going back in, with maybe some bubblewrap insulation for good measure. Maybe i might suggest buying more batteries instead.... :D

All this sounds good but HE is still thinking!!! We have a spare good 240 fridge in storage but it is too high for the space in our van plus convection microwave is very firmly attached to the top of the fridge cabinet.
