Buyer Beware!

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Buyer Beware!

Post by Swisslulu »

For those of you on Facebook, have a look at these pics of a well known brand of caravan. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Southern ... 7980831374

It beggars belief that a manufacturer can get away with producing a van that can end up like this in just 5 years. And this is a prominent brand.

Only because the repairer posted the photos on their Facebook page. Can't do anything about that.

Seems to be the norm these days doesn't it? Make the product shiny and pretty on the surface grab the $$ and say see yu sucker.... Hope that so called builder gets screwed to the boards.. Tacky tacky rubbish.. Very sad for the unsuspecting buyer.

So, is the Southern***** the repairer or the well known caravan manufacturer? I don't particularly want to sign into Faceless book so read the whole saga, but clicking on the link brings up a well known caravan/5th wheeler manufacturer and then dodgy workmanship photos. If they are the repairer and not the original manufacturer I'd be a bit concerned the bad workmanship might be incorrectly connected with them.

Terry, it is Southern Cross's Facebook page where they have posted photos of a van they have been asked to repair. They actually say they want this stuff out there so that people are aware of shonky practices by well known brand manufacturers.

They should NAME AND SHAME,or show some indication of the manufacturer, other wise I would class all manufacturers using short cuts and building poor products.LIKE THE HEADING SAYS............ BUYER BEWARE

You can read the Facebook page in question without having a facebook account ( I read it and don't and won't have a facebook a/c)
