What's for dinner tonight?

Post by Swisslulu »

Okay, I am officially bored so I thought it might be entertaining to start a thread about what we all are having for dinner. It might inspire some and give rise to some interesting recipes.

Not very exciting but we are having Corned Beef Fritters tonight using some of the left overs in the fridge.
Cheers

Thanks for getting into the swing of it Dee. There is a similar thread on another forum and I am amazed at how many people have dessert virtually every night of the week. We never have dessert (I don't have a sweet tooth) and can only imagine how big we would be if we did. I guess the dessert eaters must get a lot more exercise than we do. :D

Porterhouse steak
Fried onions
Eggs
Baked beans
Mashed potatoes outa the packet!

This is probably once a month - if we're lucky! :D

psst... had your beans'n'çhorizo mix last night... fantastic!

& after 2 nights of beans... no mozzies will survive at all!

We are having a stir fry tonite, kills off what's left of the vegies and some rump still to be eaten.
We only shop each fortnight when home. Nothing to do with the pension just the 2 hundred plus kilometres (round trip) we have to do to go shopping.
As for sweets I enjoy ice-cream a few time a week some times Carol will join me.
But neither of us has what you would call a sweet tooth.
We don't have sweats while traveling.
Bernie.
Chuck how do you get mashed taters into a packet?

Wow, Chuck, I wish I was eating in your van tonight! What brand of packet mash do you buy? We used to have a fantastic one in Switzerland but I just can't get the Edgell stuff to taste good. Maybe you have a secret. Glad you enjoyed the beans/chorizo. It's so easy but packed with flavour.

Bernie, where on earth do you live?? And who is the cook, you or Carol, or do you take turns?
Cheers

Ooh, Bernie, we might soon be shopping alongside of you. Moving to Tinana in the near future. A ? for you. We have found Aldi, Woolworths and BiLo. Is there a Coles in Maryborough?
