Tips for conserving water when travelling

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

"tanks" here---
Thanks Dot/Ros It's a great picture isn't it. It just shows what an "old fart" can do with a mobile camera. All I have to do now is learn how to post the pics on the Forum myself.
B .O.S: This little tap/ball valve saves me a lot of water when I shower. It saves the fiddle of having to adjust the hot tap and then having to adjust the hot tap to have the ideal temperature of the water flow.
Another way to save water, especially in Winter, is to have a cold shower.
In the old days we used to have an "A.P.C." wash; i.e. "Arm Pits & Crutch".

There is a lot to say for having a 4 litre plastic bottle painted mat black, left out in the sun for several hours to heat, add in some cold water, and then using a small 12 volt camping pump and a 10 litre bucket and have an OUTSIDE SHOWER. This method is ok at some out of the way lonely roadside stops, but not recommended at some busy campsite where there are lots of tourists.

If you work it right; the blokes can have an early shower while the women folk are inside their m-home/caravan cooking the evening meal for their loved one/s--- but conduct and complete the operation before Happy Hour, or wear a suitable bathing costume.
Keith.

I plan to have another birthday next year.

We have a second water tank just for river/creek water. It has its own shurflow pump and I can send river water to the inside and outside shower cold water, the toilet flush and an outside tap. Hot water is out of the drinking water tank. We also do the boat shower thing, wet down, lather up and rinse off
