G'Day Dot,

Something sadly lacking in today's business world. Then they have the hide to tell us they aren't doing well. Wonder why.

Dirk, it isn't just the business world either. Courtesy is something that is only for our generation of old farts. We remember what we were taught as whipper snappers and try to put it to use daily. The current lot are just not as polite or caring as most of us would appreciate. Keep onto them then Dirk. Its such a shame that you are the one having to remind them of your problem and your existence.

Today's letter got a very quick response but its a shame you have to threaten them when a simple email would suffice to say the letter has been forwarded to Jayco and we will contact you in .... days. Why they couldn't have just forwarded an acknowledgment in the first place.

On the opposite end of the scale. We have Stegbar shower and ensuite doors and the catch on one lost its tension after 7 years. Went into their factory/showroom to buy another and they said they no longer make that colour but if I did not mind waiting they would have a look around the factory to see if they could find one. Came back 10 min later with 2 complete latches, 2 more in bits and 6 spare springs to fix any others. How much?? No charge happy to help out.

Phil,

Absolutely no good at all with Jayco, not interested in helping much at all except for a couple of aluminium strips to cover the cracks which don't anyhow. So much for standing behind their products. For the price of the thing, $1,700 it should have performed better as it hasn't moved since installing it, (bus still isn't mobile) so its not as though its been traveling anywhere to develop the cracks, just standing still. Certainly no offer of a refund which was the only way I could see to rectify the problem, even offer them a deal of 50% but complete silence on the matter. Alternative is for me to break it up and scrap it as I can't get it out otherwise as its built in and no way to get it out. To my mind a complete waste of money and the last time I will buy Jayco rubbish again. What's that old saying once bitten...... I just don't have the time to pursue them in court so had to let it go. Still not much protection for the consumer despite all the pooh ha.
