Lesley a little suggestion about your roof color. We put the green on when we built in Bundaberg & after about 2 years it all oxerdised- could rub the whiite stuff off on hands. Friends of our up there had their green one replaced!

I wish this dam weather would make up its mind what it wants to do. On with the coat with no sun and wind, then off 2 mins later with the sun out.

Twas a chilly night last night, inside the bus it got down to 6. something but it soon warmed up. Kay was washing everything not nailed down and the others were doing their best at reading and yapping over cups of tea and cakes etc. George & I headed for home as we have some things to sort out before my big day next week. Wonder what they are up to right now  Had the most relaxing time with good friends, and a couple of new ones, plus a visit from Jenny & Mike and of course the surprise of Noggins aka Ron and Phyl plus the few outings we ventured out to. Even caught up with some old acquaintances from the old home stomping ground of Ashbourne. :D

And so ends the Easter 10 days at Ashbourne. The weather was fantastic apart from a couple of nights that were really ball bitingly cool. The company was great, many laughs, too many cakes for sure. Miss Meow was the perfect pussy once again. The last of the crew departed for home and other destinations yesterday. I must say the Ashbourne hall did themselves proud, the toilets were very clean, tissues, toilet paper, soap and hand towels all supplied. The Green Man Inn meals were all excellent quality and generous in size although on the one day over Easter they were so bust it took an hr and a half to get our meal but hey what is time these days? Pet-els gave them a good work out as well. Jenny (Aussie girl) gave the new stand in barmaid a lesson on what a portergaff drink was and how to prepare one, We even went to church, well we walked past the church  Safe travels to those back on the road still, Macca aka Kay & Bruce reckons they are headed for Lakes Entrance but hmmmm we'll see  Thank you to those that came and camped and also to the ones that came and ate and went home again.

I now recall the old Army saying: " MORE WRINKLES THAN INCHES".
In the nieve [can't find Spell Check] days of my youth I often wondered what the 'big blokes' were talking about.
It's marvelous what you can learn on this Forum !!

I plan to have another birthday next year.
