It always amazes me how much passion the mention of Facebook generates, they did a sell job on it that would even have Bill Gates in awe.
As an answer to the question, it appears to be an issue with your computer link to Face Book. The usual first port of call with any such problem, shut down and reboot, does the problem still exist?

I hope for your sakes you aren't a victim of identity theft. if you have been hacked then hey now have full control of your identity and can attack anyone they wish, using your name, you end up having to defend yourself in a liable claim for something you didn't write. the hackers generally on sell this information to groups that want to start a social media attack against a major target. they get the ball rolling using other peoples names via their hijacked accounts and hope the frenzie of attack is picked up and run with to become a global event.

Well Terry that certainly makes me feel good knowing that MIGHT have happened. I Have just picked up computer from shop in Loxton where it has been since yesterday, having a total clean up etc etc but still no idea as to how to get Fb back correctly for me. Can log in/out but not the correct window appears yet on my computer but at the shop as well as 2 different friends pc my A/c is just as it should be starting up. Am going to take it back into him on Monday.

Try un-installing your browser and reinstalling it. It probably has something to do with the display settings.

Bob we, including 2 different computer tech at 2 different places, have done that as well as any suggestions which they have bought up on FB actual page on another computer beside mine and so far nothing has resolved the problem. My FB A/C on any other computer is as it should be so if I had been hacked that would not happen so I am told. It is obviously a problem here somewhere & as my A/C is still fine not much good starting another A/C.

What browser are you using? (IE, Firefox, etc?)
Version of browser? (IE7 or IE8 etc)
Very hard to comment without some of that info I'm afraid.
