Got the grass mighty short around Tanks' rig
We had a lawn mowing contractor that was doing those type close cuts, all that grew were bindii eye patches

Re: "TANKS" Made it to 40 Mile Beach
"tanks" here----
What a place to camp !!! Here I am only around about 40 metres from the High Tide water mark of the Indian Ocean. Prime Real Estate here on the point.
I am next to Wendy & Ash, and Bob & Bev are next door also on the water front. "GENDERDOG" arrived this afternoon after his drive up from Geraldton and Carnarvon, and is also parked close to us.
We had a "Happy 2 Hour" session this afternoon with all of the neighbours gathering at "Wezanickinoff" {the big blue bus] and spreading tales of their great adventures in the West.
As you can see in Wendy's posted pics; The Caretaker came to the party and allowed me to park the "TANK" close to the BigBlueBus. Ash made the unofficial parking area presentable by running his whipper-snipper over the long grass for me which was much appreciated. Bob of "Bob & Bev" fame came to my rescue with a fridge/battery problem, and adjusted my solar panels to pump out more Amps (maybe Watt things) to boost the battery charge system. NO PANIC---The WEIS BARS and Ice Cream will now remain frozen.
I have had a chat with several of the non-forum campers here and they have relocated here from the Cleaverville saite. The midges were very bad and the waterfront lots were limited to about 6 sites. To get to the area they had to climb up the sand dunes to park. They all agreed that the 40 Mile Beach Camp was far superior.
The Caretaker [an ex-Seaweed Sucker] from the Royal Australian Navy, has organised a 1-1/2 hour entertainment concert every Sunday at Happy Hour time, with music from the 70's era performed by RON HICKS. The music is dance type oldies from that period when most towns held a Saturday night dance. Talk about a "Blast from then Past".
A gold coin donation for the concert is expected, and the local Gas Project match this dollar for dollar and all proceeds are donated to the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The Gas Project have also installed a potable water outlet for the campers to replentish their drinking water supply from the Projects Salination Plant. Again a gold coin donation with the dollar for dollar deal for the R.F.D.S.
There is a free Book Exchange box at the entrance to the camp area, and this is an ideal place to leave a few "Invitation-to-Join" Forum slips for the promotion of the OZeRVnews Forum. Tomorrow--- or as soon as I can locate the box-of-wonders in the trailer, I will place a sticker supply in the Book Box. Who knows; we may gain a few new recruits to the Forum.
"Russell" is happy and contented just sitting around the "Tank" with me and having his walk- time around the park area a few times a day. There are several dogs close to us and everybody is in happy mode here.
Keith.

A rose by any other name still smells the same. Get your "STICKERS" up yet .?.
Have you made plans to attend the Sunday Concert, for a few hours of entertainment for only a gold coin. I have a pair of Opera Glasses if you want to watch from your box-on-wheels, but it would be more enjoyable if you attends and don't forget to bring your own chair or rug to sit on. Also bring your own refreshments.
The Forum is quiet ---they must be still getting over the State of Origin match result, and most of the Queenslanders are still in deep shock, so the Concert will help fill in a few hours activity.

"tanks" here Dot---
The hair is SILVER,NOT BLONDE.
Silver comes with age, whereas blonde comes with peroxide or with immigrants from Norway.
Blondes are usually dumb, whereas those with SILVER hair are usually of more intelligence.
We are all waiting for you to get over here. I have packed the Remington Hair Clippers just in case you forget to pack your set, and all is ready for your big event.
