Hi Dirk.
We can help any CMCA member who wishes to log in to AMH to follow this election discussion.
The automatic regeneration of a password is a pain. It takes some time to become active and it is quicker to ask admin for assistance.
Send me an email if you need help or just join up again.

Col Colson has just made an interesting reply to the issue of a return of the CMCA forum. He points out that those who are not CMCA members and have joined AMH would be disadvantaged by its closure. I would think that the same could be said of this forum.
I have always held the view that we should all be together on the one forum and that such a forum should cater to the wishes and interests of all of its members.
I do miss some of you over here. I don't get to send Dot a letter any more but we do manage to keep in touch otherwise.

Maybe all the AMH members that are not already here Barry should join OZeRvnews that would fix the problem you seem to have with all not being on just one forum.
At least you can speak what's on your mind over here.

Some of us can't get into your forum BBB!!! Seems to have happened since I got a letter?
Never mind...
I'll shift(copy) this thread over to CMCA section. Later I'll delete this one.

If anyone else has a similar problem I will raise the matter with the team on AMH.

Nah! Don't reckon I'll ever consider going back to AMH or CMCA.
The sense of camaraderie & freedom here is just so... refreshing, it leaves those other two a long way behind.
Removed the rear vision mirror - not looking back!

Think you have hit the nail on the head Chuck..... There is no way the "old" forum is ever going to see the light of day, but then again who cares this one is way better and certainly friendlier.

I don't think there should be just one forum. The C#@A forum was proof that one size does not fit all because it lumped together those who just want to have fun, and to learn, with those who;
(a) always want to run a political agenda (not necessarily of the government kind), and
(b) those who just want to be a "know it all" and run down those who ask simple or naive questions because they don't know stuff and are seeking help, which we should give no matter how obvious the answer seems.

And that sums it up very well for me .SteveW wrote:I don't think there should be just one forum. The C#@A forum was proof that one size does not fit all because it lumped together those who just want to have fun, and to learn, with those who;

To me there are a number of members on the AussieMotorhome Forum that are standing for office that forum members (and the wider CMCA membership) will vote for, to me this could result in a divide and conquer result with no forum member getting in, which will to me will be a pity as they are all potentially good directors.

Re: CMCA Elections.
I enjoy participating in all the forums that I frequent & I agree one forum definitely does not suit everybody.
I believe that I have learnt heaps about heaps of different things from the forums & hopefully made several friends.
