Peter raises a valid point. There are some candidates with 'board endorsement' and if they get in you can expect the old ways to become entrenched for many years to come.
The only way to avoid a division of votes among the potentially good candidates is to vote strategically.

I am disappointed to read that some members would think that any forum allows a put down of any member asking a question, no matter how naive.

Barry, that was a significant failing of the "original" forum. I vividly remember being the subject of what I regarded as ridicule. I can remember the name of one of those people in particular, however, I won't mention it because we don't do that here.

Not sure that any one forum is better than the other. I do get into less trouble here however as it is possible to disagree with the hat wearers without getting a letter. :D :D

One hopes that you can disagree with the hat wearers on any forum and that all opinion is welcome.
Anyway, this thread is about the coming election and all CMCA members are encouraged to vote.
There is a real chance that the balance of power will now shift to a progressive majority if you cast your vote wisely.
You might ask Bruce for his opinion based on the answers to questions asked of the candidates on AMH. Only two candidates have responded so far but it is early days yet. I do expect that most of the candidates will respond to the questions.

Thankyou BBB but I'm guessing you should be meaning BruceQ rather than myself.
I haven't ventured back there simply because I've got quite a few things going on at present.
I do have a spy or 2 that drop little snippets of info my way sometimes.
Weight of a fart comes to mind? Love to see Collyn's formula for THAT!!!

I definitely meant you, BruceS.

Dot, it is good to see someone with an understanding of the scientific method explaining the process to obtain the answer to the fart question.
There were a bunch or pommie twits who argued for ages about whether adding a goldfish to the fish-bowl would cause the water level to rise.

Supplementary question:
What would happen to the water level if the goldfish farted?

B3, most, if not all my disagreements with men in hats have resulted in smacks, rather than allowing my thoughts to stand, including inconsistent decisions. It is what it is
