RV Homebase, Maryborough Qld

Drop in and dribble on about nothing serious. Seriously a mad place to hang out. Better to avoid it if you're not in the mood!!! If you're determined to be sad, bad, mad & angry then move along!!!

Shirley, you should have had an option to delete or edit within 30 minutes (I think) of the original post but no idea why it posted twice. Mr Bush, it was even a bit of a wrench for us to move 3 hours away from the kids and grandkid but as we plan to be on the road for more than half of each year that became kind of redundant. I believe there are some similar complexes in WA, Shirley, but this is the first built by this particular company.

Shirley I've noticed that happening since I updated the software.
If you click on "Edit" & then when the page opens up is there a DELETE box just above your message?
Even us moderators have to do it that way now for some reason. I've left it there for yu to see if it works for you.

No DELETE box now Bruce but that has happened to me before & you have deleted the 2nd post.

Freezing up here on Lake Macquarie or freezing for L.M. cold westerly wind has been blowing for a couple of days, snow on Barrington Tops.

just trying editing, yeah no delete box.

Shirley & Lesley,

Over here in WA, we don't have anything like the RV Homebase that is so tailor-made for caravanners and motorhomers. The great big garage is, I think, one of the big (pun intended) attractions of the Homebase. That and the beaut big happy hour setup is really appealing to me, but I'm destined to remain a Sandgroper.

We have also stayed at Standown Park a couple of times and really like that too. I just wish WA and QLD weren't so far apart, because I really think we are so alike in a lot of ways.

Thanks for that info, there is an opening for someone or some company to start building over in the West.

Shirley,

My experience is that you should be able to delete the second post at any time... up to the point of posting again... once that is done the delete option transfers to the current post.

Must have been doing something wrong as I couldn't delete the 2nd post.

Ok I see now delete post comes up at the top when you edit, never to old to learn. ;)

Lesley, next time you are in contact with the who's who at RVHB ask them how come none of their ventures are in SA please? We would go in if there was one.

A little bird told me someone has bought a new van, well new to them, from a well known caravan repair company who also build caravans ;)
No, it wasn't a Twitter type little bird

RV Homebase, Maryborough Qld

Post by Swisslulu »

Yes, I can confirm we have bought the most recently (and last) built Davidson Cabcar (read original Phoenix) van. We wanted a new build but no manufacturer would allow us to do our own Lithium install without voiding one or another warranty. So we decided second hand was our only choice. Luckily for us, this van came on the market and it was only an hour's drive away to inspect. To say we are excited is understating the issue.

Anyone want to buy a great Kedron? Fully set up for free camping for extended periods. We have been on an unpowered site at Standown Park CP for about 14 weeks - no generator but we do have water and there is a dump point.
Cheers
